2. I agree. because in life we start to shoot and then to walk, the same is reading,
first we see the letters and then we read.
3. two elements that have been overlooked are, Teaching learning starting to
Read, people who already know how to read are those who read in other
languages
1. Most familiar are build a strong vocabulary base, teach for comprehension
and teach reading strategies. Least familiar are encourage reader to
transform strategies into skills and build assessment and evaluation into
your teaching.
2. A skill is an acquired ability to perform well, proficiency. A strategy is a
systematic plan, consciously adapted and monitored, to improve one's
performance in learning.
3. Teachers play an essential role in the academic success. Teachers can help
students achieve the goals, helping all students feel like a part of the school
and educational community.
1. Top-down reader: asks students to focus on the meaning of what they are
reading rather than on individual words or phrases.
4. Fluent reading: is defined as the ability to read with speed, accuracy, and proper
expression. In order to understand what they read, children must be able to read
fluently whether they are reading aloud or silently.
5. Intensive reading: involves learners reading in detail with specific learning aims
and tasks. It can be compared with extensive reading, which involves learners
reading texts for enjoyment and to develop general reading skills.
7. Phonics approach: Words are made up from small units of sound called
phonemes.
8. Silent reading: is a reading skill which allows one to read with outvoicing the
words. may involve subvocalization or silent speech, is defined as the internal
speech made when reading a word, thus allowing the reader to imagine the sound
of the word as it is read.
9. Extensive reading: involves learners reading texts for enjoyment and to develop
general reading skills. It can be compared with intensive reading, which means
reading in detail with specific learning aims and tasks.
