Chief Concierge

Basic Functions : To greet and bid farewell to all guest.


To direct traffic on front driveway at all times, in order to ensure
smooth traffic flow, and keep driveway clear of any traffic jam.
To provide doorman services to guests promptly and efficiently
ensuring guests satisfaction and adhering to the standard required
by the hotel.

Primary Duties :

1. Drop and pick guests up from Hotel – Airport – Hotel as requested.

2. To open vehicles and main entrance doors for guests upon arrival and departure.

3. Has complete control of front entrance.

4. Keep driveway and walkways clean at all times.

5. Assist guest in getting into and out of limousines, taxis and cars.

6. Assist in checking luggages.

7. Will be relief man for bellmen when they go for break and Airport Representative.

8. Keep front of the hotel clear during fire alarm.

9. To ensure that all vans, buses, and coaches are parked at the designated bus lanes only
at all times.

10. To keep a close watch of the pick-up time of all tour buses, vans and coaches arriving at
the front driveway, so as to ensure that they do not arrive too early or park too long at the
designated bus lanes, thus causing unnecessary obstruction to traffic along the front
driveway.

11. To check on vehicles, waiting to collect hotel guests or temporarily parked along the
sides of the front driveway, either by chauffeur or owner, and to ensure that they do not
exceed the 5 minutes waiting time.

12. To ensure that no vehicles are parked at areas that display the ‘NO PARKING’ signs,
and to report all such cases to security officers.

13. Be knowledgeable of city streets, locations, restaurants and major attractions as well as
city-wide events and activities.

14. To offer Car Jockey services to all incoming cars without Chauffeurs and to handle all
vehicles with care.

15. To check and clean the hotel’s vehicles, ensuring good condition and image at all times.

16. To check that cars are filled with petrol and oil at all times.

17. When front driveway traffic is slow, to render assistance to bellmen whenever necessary.

18. Coordinate guest transportation and automobile needs as requested; supervise


maintenance and control of hotel vehicles.

19. Ensure that all assigned personnel are well groomed and in uniform; ensure for the
immaculate physical appearance of hotel entrance and lobby.

20. Know all emergency, fire and security procedures and ensure that all assigned personnel
are cognizant of same.

21. Participate in departmental meetings and ensure that all assigned personnel are advised
of any and all changes in standards and procedures.

22. Take responsibility for any tasks required ensuring guest satisfaction and assisting with
administrative duties and special projects as requested.

23. To be familiar with Front Office Policies and Procedures, Job Description and Employee
Handbook.

24. Perform other duties, which are assigned by the superior from time to time.
