science.

- Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well- being and not
merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

WHAT IS THE CONNECTION OF TECHNOLOGY AND HEALTH?


-Our ability to store, share and analyze health information is directly tied to
improved technology. The use of technology increases provider capabilities and
patient access while improving the quality of life for some patients and saving
the lives of others.

HOW IS TECHNOLOGY USED IN HEALTH?


-In medicine and healthcare, digital technology could help transform
unsustainable healthcare systems into sustainable ones, equalize the
relationship between medical professionals and patients, provide cheaper,
faster and more effective solutions for diseases.

Advantages of technology and health


The impact of technology on healthcare is classified into three types first is
human life quality, healthcare jobs, and the last one is global economy. We can
already see that interest in medical innovation will not occur in the future as
investments continue to promote the private sector. We can also count the
decreases in accidental causes, as well as a general improvement, among the
advantages of technology in healthcare. A period with treatment and care has
also been greatly reduced.
Disadvantages of technology and health
Technology provides benefits to patient but it also brings significant risks
that can threaten patient safety.

contribute to more serious health conditions, such as depression.
The overuse of technology may have a more significant impact on developing
children and teenagers.

- Overuse or dependence on technology may have adverse psychological
effects, including:

- technologies, such as social media, are designed to bring people
together, yet they may have the opposite effect in some cases.

- People who had more positive interactions and social support on
these platforms appeared to have lower levels of depression and
anxiety.

-Technology use may increase the risk of physical issues as well, including:
1. Eyestrain
- Technologies, such as handheld tablets, smartphones, and
computers, can hold a person’s attention for long periods. This
may lead to eyestrain.

- The way many people use mobile devices and computers may also
contribute to incorrect posture. Over time, this may lead to
musculo skeletal issues.

3. Sleep problems
- Using technology too close to bedtime may cause issues with sleep.
This effect has to do with the fact that blue light, such as the light
from cell phones, e-readers, and computers, stimulates the brain.

Technology plays a role in virtually every part of our lives, whether we’re aware
of it or not. These are just a few of the ways in which technology may positively
affect our physical and mental health:
