Geislinger Vibration Dampers


on VASA 32 engines – Extended
overhaul interval

Damper mounted on crankshaft


Due to the good running experience with these dampers, the recommended
interval between overhaul has been extended from 24,000 to 32,000 running hours.

Damper mounted in camshaft driving gear(s)


Those of our 8R32 and 16V32 engines which are equipped with the “older”
camshaft, have a damper mounted in the camshaft driving gear(s), number
148015.
NOTE: The overhaul interval for this damper is still the same, i.e. 18,000 run-
ning hours.
The difference between the “old” and “new” camshaft can be seen from the
shaft diameter between cams as shown in the illustration below.
