The Silly Chick


One day, Mother Hen took her chicks into the yard to look for food.
She told the chicks to stay close behind her.
But one silly chick disobeyed Mother Hen. He wanted to catch some
worms on his own.
The silly chick decided to walk near the pond. Just then, a hawk
swooped down towards him.
A rooster standing by saw the hawk. It told the chick to hide. The
chick runs under a big log. Then, he thanked the rooster.

The rooster brought the silly chick back to Mother Hen. The chick
felt very sorry and promised not to disobey Mother Hen again.
