ORIENTATION PROGRAM

MINUTES OF THE MEETING

The College of Teacher Education had their orientation program last July 15, 2016 and it was
held at CTE-AVR, at 1:30PM. The Dean of the College Dr. Gerardo Garcia and the faculty
members were present in the program.

The program started with a song of prayer sang by Johnny C. Seguro. The Philippine National
Athem led by Fricilla Lorenzo and the Northwestern Hymn led by Rheza May Tatunay. Dr.
Gerardo Garcia welcomed the speakers and students in the program. He also introduced the CTE
faculty members.

The first speaker was Ms. Danna Kriz Bugnosen, the CTE Guidance Counsellor. She discussed
about the guidance services that can students avail in the Guidance Center. Next speaker was
from IQUAME and Accreditation, Prof. Beatriz Cravalho. She talked about the accreditation
happens in the school and what are purposes of having it.

Ms. Jona Andres was the third speaker. The assigned topic for her was the ISO and CHAPMPS.
She discussed the meaning and purpose of being a certified International Organization for
Standardization (ISO). She also told the students that they must have or possessed the CHAMPS.
But CHAMPS was not only for students to possess but it was for the teachers and employees
also.

The fourth speaker was from the University Registrar, Prof. Elaine Rose T. Ramiro. Prof.
Ramiro discussed four topics: a. Policy on Examination; b. Policy on Retention; c. Rating/
Grading System/ Procedures on completing INC marks; and d. Withdrawal from enrolment/
dropping, adding, changing of subjects. She even asked the students to evaluate the service of the
University Registrar.
The Fifth speaker was from the Community Extension, it was Ms. Grace Alejandro. She talked
about the Community Extension Awareness. She also showed some pictures or evidences that
student done during the Extension Program. Although the CTE students were much aware on the
Extension Programs because CTE had been a partner of the Community Extension.

The second to the last speaker was Mr. Bryan Bautista. The assigned topic was about the student
services that can be aim in the school like the safe loan and scholarships. He even told students
that if they have concern or problem regarding the school, they can approach the OSA about it.

Of course the last speaker of the program was the father and counsellor of the College, Dr.
Gerardo Garcia. He told and discussed the meaning of the CTE Mission, Vision and Objectives.
He even told his new rules and regulations to be followed under his supervision.
