Number of child labour in Pakistan:

Do you know how many child labour in Pakistan? How many children are
not lucky enough to enjoy their childhood?In our survey of 50 people
we asked: how many child labour in Pakistan? 68% of them replied that there is 10M
child labour in Pakistan. "Unfortunately, the actual number of child labourers
in Pakistan goes undetected According to a survey conducted by the
Federal Bureau of Statistics and the National Child Labour
approximately 19 million children below 14 years of age are working as
child labourers in Pakistan"( The Express Tribune 2020, AUG 22). This tells
us that how much child labour in Pakistan. How many children are unable to serve our country. With the
talent Allah provided to them.

Who is responsible for this much child labour?

In our survey when we ask people ask "Is government Responsible for Child Labour: Yes, No or other ?"
70% of  them said in response that "yes" government Responsible for Child Labour. Pakistan is
developing country and unable to control child labour. "In 2018, Pakistan made a moderate
advancement in efforts to eliminate the worst forms of child labor. But provincial governments do not
have the resources necessary to adequately enforce laws prohibiting child labor."(U.S. Department of
Labor ). Due to economic crises of Pakistan we are unable to minimize child labour. Around 65% people
said that efficient existing act in Pakistan's constitution which protects child labour is in-efficient . This is
why government is also responsible for child labour.

Reasons Of child Labour

Mostly people in our survey suggests that poverty is the greatest single cause behind child labour.
However some give different reasons that unawarance from the importance of education and lack of
educational institutes in rural areas. " Human rights commission of Pakistan (Report 2010) considers
poverty, social attitudes, large family size and low literacy rate as basic reasons of child labor in
Pakistan."(Global Political Review (GPR)).

How to eradicate:
Mostly people suggested that the Government should take some precautions such as giving Jobes and
provide educational facilities provided to poor people and make law for this purpose and should be
followed strictly. Give full free education for poor and orphan children. "By providing alternative
opportunities and education to children, providing viable alternative economic opportunities to poor
families is an important aspect of the program to create a substitute to the income brought in by
children’s work and thereby enable the children to go to school."(The Nation 2020 , August 2)
