INTRODUCING DAMASCUS
Damascus is the capital of Syria and
is also its largest and most populated
city. It is also one of the oldest cities
in the world. If you were surprised
when London celebrated its first
millennium, think that Damascus was
founded between 8 and 10 thousand
years ago, so we can say that Syria is
the oldest constantly inhabited land
in the world.
