Methodology
4.1 Methodology of the study:
The research study is based on the combination of qualitative and quantitative both methods. Qualitative data has been
collected from the interviews, report and publications. Quantitative data is collected from the survey data also from the
survey report.
Both primary and secondary sources have been used to collect necessary data to conduct our study. Primary data was
collected through interviews, survey and from content analysis while secondary sources of data were both from
literatures, published and unpublished documents. 
This chapter also introduces research strategies, practice formulas for general approaches, and specific strategies for
addressing research objectives. It provides the principles for organizing, planning, designing, conducting and preparing
our research.

4.2 Population of the Study: 
A population is any well­defined set of units of analysis. For some studies, the population may be small enough to
warrant the inclusion of all of them in the study. But a study may entail a large population which cannot all be studied.
Thant portion of the population that is studied is called a sample of the population (Nworgu 1991:69). A sample in this
study is, therefore, a smaller group of elements drown through a definite procedure from an accessible population. The
elements making up this sample are those that are actually studied.
The sample of the population of this study took from the 100 permanent employees in Top­level, Mid­level and Lower­
level of Hamid Group of Bangladesh. 
4.3 Sample Size
A sample is the statistical process of selecting a subset of individuals from a larger population. In this section we were
used a sample consisted of 100 professional employees in Hamid Group of Bangladesh. 
4.4 Sampling Techniques
A stratified random sampling procedure was used for selecting the participants in this study. This technique was
employed to ensure a fairly equal representation of the variables for the study. The stratification based on leadership
style and skills of Hamid Group.
4.5 Sampling frame
The sample frame has been collected from the employees of Hamid Group, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
4.6 Instrument: 

The researcher designed an interview schedule as one of the data collection instrument for this study. Hamid Group
employees were interviewed to determine the importance of Hamid Group's leadership skills. The interview questions
(Appendix ­1 were aimed at the importance of leadership skill on employee growth of Hamid Group. This questions
relating to methodology and material for leadership skills, leadership styles.
4.7 Data Collection Methods:
Data collection is the procedure of collecting, measuring and analyzing accurate insights for research using standard
validated techniques. Incorrect data collection can affect the results of a study and ultimately lead to invalid results. We

have gathered data from the two unique sources. These two sources are as following:
4.7.1 Primary sources:
It includes fully new data sources, such as:
• Through our group surveys and interviews.
• Field observations and experiments.
• Focus group meetings.
• Drooping questionnaires (Appendix­1).
• Practical experience of our group member Mr. Walid Bin Hasan, Assistant Manager (HR & Admin, Compliance),
Hamid Group, Bangladesh.
4.7.2 Secondary sources: 
It includes sources of remaining data, such as:
• Official Website of Hamid Group.
• Leadership Manual of Hamid Group.
• Related journal & articles.
• Related research papers and publications.
• Annual publications of Hamid Group.
• Different news of Hamid Group.
4.7 Data Analyzing Tools and Procedure
We used Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel worksheets to analyze our research data.
4.8 Limitations of the study
This research paper holds some limitations due to various reasons. Some reasons of those reasons are:
 Lack of Time: The time period for this study was very limited, which was not enough. So, we could not proper
analysis.
 Insufficient Data: Some essentials information could not be collected due to business confidentiality of Hamid Group.
 Lack of Information: Getting some of the relevant papers is not published. Some information conducted directly by
the top management level which may also have some sort of restrictions.
