Legislative Efforts are Coming in Waves to
Support Milk River Project Rehabilitation
As we approach the one-year anniversary of the collapse
of Drop Structure #5 of the St. Mary’s Diversion, the spotlight
remains on the unaffordability of critical repairs to the Milk
River Project’s aged infrastructure. From Montana’s irrigators
and farmers, ranchers, recreationists, and municipalities that
span from Tribal Nations to Canada, the call for affordable
repairs are continuing to grow.
Not only are construction costs into the hundreds of
millions of dollars, Montana’s irrigators alone are responsible
for 74% of those costs. It doesn’t take much thought to realize
the money is not there, which is why repairs have been
looming and unattainable. Without the St. Mary Diversion
alone, the Milk River would potentially run dry six of every
ten years. Consider the magnitude of this system.
House Joint Resolution No. 7 was introduced by Rep.
Casey Knudsen of Malta in February and has soared through
the Montana Legislature. This Resolution calls on the Federal
Government to adjust the current funding allocation to ensure
affordability, and ultimately infrastructure rehabilitation.
With strong support from Conservation Districts, sportsmen
and wildlife advocates, bankers, farmers and numerous
governmental agencies, H.J. No. 7 is just one collaborative
effort between stakeholders to make change. H.J. No. 7 has
now passed through the assigned Senate Committee and will
soon be heard on the Senate floor.
Additionally, Senator Daines, Senator Tester, and
Representative Rosendale have recently reintroduced federal
legislation to not only provide $52 million in contribution
to repairs, but to also reassess the 74/26 cost-share between
irrigators and the Bureau of Reclamation, respectively. While
efforts like this have been tried before without success, the
failure at St. Mary’s has demonstrated that complete disaster
is a stark reality for those along the Hi-Line, and therefore
needs immediate consideration and action.
Please consider sending a “thank you” to both state
legislators that have supported H.J. No. 7 and Montana’s
Congressional Delegation for their renewed support
for federal funding. Slowly but surely, we will see the
rehabilitation of the Milk River Project.

HR 1 Biden’s “For The
People Act of 2021”
Have you heard of the latest
travesty coming out of the Loony Bin
formerly called the White House? It’s a
bill that will make elections obsolete and push
America further towards being a communist nation. Think
not? Well let me tell you what’s in this bill and you can chew
on it awhile.
First off, US Senator Mike Lee (R-Ut) says “this is a
bill written by the Devil himself.” He’s right on brother.
If something like this ever passes and becomes law we are
sunk as a free nation. As it is right now our freedoms are
being eroded incrementally so quietly that most people don’t
even realize they are gone. Mostly those youngsters who are
attending any one of our Democrat controlled institutes of
higher learning which by last count is well over 97% of them.
(97% of Institutes, not students).
Here’s what the bill “suggests.”
Mandatory automatic voter registration Nationwide
and folks, in this particular case “Nationwide” is NOT
on your side. It will strip voting rules from the states and
give all the power to the Feds. Get it? And here’s one of the
idiotic stipulations about voting in this bill: allows voters to
substitute a photo ID for a “sworn written statement”!!
A “written statement” sworn to be whom? The guy at the
Seven/Eleven, providing he/she can speak English of course.
Have any of you democrats never forged your mommie or
daddy’s signature on a school-driven paper like a report
card? Or a “I’m sick today” note? Yes? I thought so. So Sorry
friends, that was a Republican who answered truthfully, not
a Democrat. They answered NO! Of course.

I think of this bill. And you should too even if you were
Trump-hater. At the very least he didn’t strive to make us a
Communist country. He genuinely cares about America as it
was and through his leadership could have been again.
The Democrats are demanding that all future
presidents be elected by popular vote. Yikes!! How
transparent is that? Of course they want/need that being as
the majority of the population resides in nine states and all
of them are Democrat controlled. (And all in financial and
crime escalation trouble mainly caused by the incursion of
illegal aliens entering the country.)
This bill will restore voting rights for convicted felons
coming out of prison. I’ve been out of prison for 54 years and
still can’t vote. But by this Act I will be able to vote again and I
still would never vote for Biden, Hairass or any other Liberal.
And finally, to cement the Democrats permanently in
power this bill “encourages” the admission of Washington
D.C. into the Union. How transparent is that folks? Of
course the Democrats want/need DC in their pockets being
as that city votes 95% Democrat! That would be the death-
knell for any further elections.
I need just one Democrat who has the cahones to send
a Letter to the Buzz (signed with your real name of course
and not just some nonsense like Horace Sense....already been
used) stating in real facts and not just wishful thinking how
the hell any of the above mentioned act can be good for the
people, be they Democrat or Republican or Independent or
LGBTQ or Native American or North Dakotan! Make sense!
I’ve made this challenge before and got absolutely no written
response....just some folks calling the Buzz telling them to
stop printing Virgil’s stuff! C’mon “Horace” you know I
know who you are. Refute me!!!
You need to call Daines and Rosendale and tell them to
fight this thing with all they’ve got. Time to call in all favors.
No use in calling Tester. We shouldn’t even allow him back
into the state when his term is over.
