Seahorse
Unlike their terrestrial namesakes, hippocampi are not very fast. They have a body
covered by a bony “armor”, they move in an upright position, they have a spiral-
shaped tail and an elongated buccal tube. They are at most 30 cm. A curiosity is
that once the eggs have been fertilized in the female, she "passes" them to the
male, who houses them for approximately 1 month before expelling them.
