RE: Metropolitan Toronto Condominium Corporation (MTCC) No. 1147

Notice of Entry for In-Suite HVAC Replacement - Suite # ________

Dear Owners/Residents of MTCC #1147 in Suite # _____:

We are pleased to advise you that we will finally be installing the HVAC unit in your suite on
_______________ through ______________.

1. Work Start Date & Timelines

Work will commence on the above-noted date between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. We expect
that the disassembly of the existing units, removal of the existing unit, installation of the new unit, and
preparing it for the operation will take about 4-5 workdays to complete.

2. Modification Required to Meet Building Code (FYI)

Please note that some modifications will be required in most suites to accommodate the units and bring
their design in line with current Ontario Building Code requirements. In most suites, this means an
additional vent will be cut out wherever is most practical to do so somewhere around the enclosure of
the HVAC unit.

The benefit of this additional in-suite venting will be that the operation of the new equipment will not
be affected by the accumulation of debris from the exterior of the building. For those units who had this
problem in the past, you will be aware of how frustrating this has been over the years as the only "fix"
was to wait for the cleaning of the vents from the exterior of the building by our window cleaning
technicians - a difficult thing to schedule in the middle of a very busy, hot summer when the heat is at its
most intense and window cleaners in highest demand.

3. Custom Finishes and Non-Typical Designs Around HVAC Units (Important)

MTCC #1147 ("The Corporation") will go back within a few weeks of completing the HVAC work in your
suite (when enough suites have been completed) and repair any drywall and paint that was damaged by
the installation process (in error or as a result of the venting described above). Please note that if you
have custom cabinetry, unique finishes, or other materials that may require cutting into by the
technicians to accommodate the new units, etc. the Corporation cannot be responsible for these repair
costs.

ny repairs required aside from basic drywall and painting will be the responsibility of the
Important: A
Unit Owner as these improvements/betterments aren't something the condominium is responsible for.

If you are worried about where the technicians may require venting to be cutout in your suite, please
send a couple of photographs to Management via email and note your concern so that the engineers
can preview the photos and give you an idea of where the vents will be going. The photos should
clearly capture each side of the existing unit and its finishes.

4, Preparing for Installation Visit (ACTION REQ'D)

In advance of the visit by the technicians for your installation, please ensure all items and furniture in a
radius of at least 4 to 6 feet are cleared from around the area the HVAC unit is located. This must
include all items hanging on walls (pictures, guitars, smart lighting tiles, etc.) and we also recommend
removing anything in the general vicinity that could be broken by act, error or omission. While the
work is being done in your suite, it may be best to relocate to another location between 9:00 am and
5:00 pm - a neighbor or relative's home would be ideal. This is a difficult request to make of a
population suddenly working from home but some residents may find the noise too loud to conduct
Zoom meetings at various points of the removal and installation processes. Residents may remain in
their units but must keep a mask on when anywhere near the area the technicians are working in and
must keep their social distance from them.

If you would like to relocate to the east half of the Amenity Room while the work is being carried out in
your suite, we can provide access so long as residents maintain their social distance. As stated, the work
will take about 4 to 5 days to complete and if you have any more questions, please ask via email or by
phone during business hours. An additional day or two may be required to have the engineer
overseeing the project return to review the installation work in your suite. When that occurs, we ask
that you please vacate the unit for the 20 or so minutes that the review takes and for about 30 minutes
prior to their arrival.

Thanks very much and please accept this as formal notice of suite entry on the above-noted dates and
times.

Sincerely,

Andrew Canali
