1.) PRICE

I gave 10% to the price because price range are pretty much the same for every

petroleum company in the Philippines. And prices only change when there are oil price

hikes, but nonetheless, every petroleum company have same price ranges for every

company.

2.) QUALITY

As for the quality, 25% is given because this is where people see if the price is

worth the price they are paying for. People have the mechanism to stick to products that

are really high quality and effective. This is somehow a vital role in every petroleum

products because it determines the performance level of their products.

3.) FACILITIES:

Petron has one of the most refined facilities when it comes to the petroleum

industry, thus they are given the highest score. They also have stop shops where

people can eat and gas up after.

4.) LOCATION:

Location has the highest percentage because this is the most crucial part for every

business, it determines wether the company will flop or not. Petroleum company chooses

their locations very well thus, Petron and Shell are given the highest score. As for

phoenix, they are lacking in this field because there are just a few gasoline stores around

the metro and they are really hard to locate if you are not from around a certain area.

5.) TECHNOLOGY

Technology plays a major role in petroleum industry because it is what makes

companies distinct from one another, each company has their own technologically developed

products that they pioneered. One good example is Petron’s Petron Blaze 100 is

recommended for high-end, high-performance vehicles, other cars will get the same

improved fuel economy and power because of its very high octane rating. And since it does

not contain ethanol, it can safely be loaded in older vehicles that are not equipped to take in
