respectively. His complete biography is also compiled by Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-

TERMINOLOGY
ALIF
Alif ( )اis the first letter of Arabic alphabets that gives the sound
ّّٰ َ
of „A‟ and refers to the name Allah اللہwhich also starts with
Alif.
ANNIHILATION
Annihilation is translated from Arabic word Fana ()فنا.
Annihilation and immortality are two stages that form a
compound in spirituality, annihilation alone is incomplete. It is
related with purification of the innerself which prevents man
from travelling towards Allah. Annihilation has various stages
and continues according to the spiritual capacity until nothing
but Divine Essence adorns the man within. The three levels are
annihilation in the spiritual guide, the Holy Prophet and Allah.
APPREHENSIONS
It is used for the mystical term khatarat ( )رطخاتwhich are the
thoughts that become an obstacle in the spiritual way.
BELIEVER
The Arabic word Mumin ( )مومنis translated as the believer or
faithful. A believer can be distinguished from a Muslim as a
Muslim accepts Islam verbally or just because he is born in a
Muslim family. He follows Islam only outwardly but the believer
reaches the essence of Islam following the spiritual path and
worships Allah while beholding Him with perfect faith.
Following verse explains the difference:
16
Meaning: The bedouins say, “We have believed.” Say, “You
have not (yet) believed. Rather say, „We have accepted Islam.‟
And the belief has not yet gone into your inwards.” (49:14)
CONTEMPLATION
Mystically, contemplation refers to spiritual practice of Tasawur
ّّٰ َ
( )وصترwhich is to contemplate the name of Allah اللہ in a
DEGREES OF CERTAINTY
There are three degrees of certainty (yaqin ;)یقین
a) The knowledge of certainty is the first degree of certainty. It
is the certainty gained by listening or reading about any fact
or knowing about it from any other source. This degree is
mystically called ilm al-yaqin ( )علم الیقینand is considered the
weakest level of certainty.
b) The eye of certainty is the second degree of certainty
achieved by seeing or observing the fact whose knowledge
was gained, it is called ayn al-yaqin ()عین الیقین.
17
DIVINE BEAUTY
For the Divine attribute al-Jamal ( )امجكthat includes all the
attributes of Allah related with His beneficence, mercy,
benevolence, compassion, kindness, forgiveness.
DIVINE FAVOUR
For the Quranic term toufeeq ( )توفیقmeaning the help and
strength provided by Almighty Allah to the seeker to perform
any task, to cross any spiritual station or pass a trial.
18
DIVINE LIGHT
Arabic Nur ()نور, refers to the non-creation Divine power which
enables the seeker to have vision of Allah. The Unknowable and
Transcendent Divine Essence first of all manifested Himself in
the form of Nur and that was the Nur of Mohammad which is the
foundation of creation and is concealed in everything of the
cosmos. Whoever reaches the Nur in his inner being by
following the spiritual path, comes in light from darkness and
finds the Reality.
DIVINE MAJESTY
For the Divine attribute al-Jalal ( )جلالwhich includes all the
attributes of Allah related with His wrath, power, magnificence,
might etc.
DIVINE UNION
For the Arabic term visal ()وصال, becoming one with Allah after
annihilating in Him.
19
DIVINE VISION
Beholding Allah with the inward eyes on spiritually reaching the
realm of Divinity. It is from the Quranic word Liqa ( )لقاand in
ESOTERIC SELF
For the Arabic term Batin ()باطن. The Mystics have revealed that
the spiritual or esoteric being of humans has seven layers or
parts;
FAKIR
Fakir ( )ریقفcomes from the Arabic word Faqr ()فغر. He is the one
who travels the path of Faqr.
20
FAQR
Faqr ( )فغرis the path that leads the seeker of Allah to Divine
closeness and vision. Prophet Mohammad was blessed with it on
the night of Miraj and it is his Sunna. He said:
ّ َۡۡ ۡ َ ۡ َ َۡ
الفغ ُر فظ ِر ۡی َوالفغ ُر ِمنِ ْی
Meaning: Faqr is my pride and Faqr is from me.
GNOSIS
The Arabic word marifa ( )معرفۃis translated as gnosis of Allah.
It is the vastest term of mysticism that gives a new meaning at
every spiritual level. Basically it refers to the knowledge and
recognition of Allah which keeps on increasing as the lover of
Allah progresses towards His closeness, hence reveals new
dimensions at every stage. It includes vision of Allah, knowledge
of His Essence and attributes, acquiring the attributes, annihilating
in Him and finally becoming one with the Essence having His
ultimate gnosis. Since Allah is Infinite, His marifa is also endless.
ّّٰ َ
The invocation and contemplation of Allah‟s personal name اللہ
are the foundation of marifa. It can be gained from the inner
sources like the intuitive and inspired knowledge as well as outer
sources like the spiritually effective Sufi teachings and the words
of the perfect spiritual guide.
ُ
HOO ()ھو
ُ
Hoo ( )ھوis the Essence of Allah. It is used many times in the
َ ّ ّّٰ
Quran for Allah:
َّ
)8<:55( َ ُھوَ الل ُہ ال ِذ ْی لَٓا ِال ّٰ َہ ِالا ُھو
21
INNERSELF
Innerself refers to the Arabic word nafs ()نفس. The nafs has four
layers or levels. Each layer annihilates into the next upon its
purgation and the nafs elevates to next level. The first layer
incites man to commit sin and is called an-nafs al-ammarah
ّ )نفسi.e. the inciting innerself. On purification, it elevates to
(اماره ِ
next layer which blames and repents on committing sin. It is called
an-nafs al-lawwamah (نفس لوامہ
ِ ) i.e. the repenting innerself. The
third layer inspires before committing sin and is called an-nafs
al-mulhimma (نفس ملہمہ
ِ ) i.e. the inspiring innerself. Whereas,
fourth layer is pure of sins and is at peace, it is called an-nafs al-
mutma’innah ( نفس مطمئنہ
ِ ) i.e. the peaceful innerself.
INSPIRATION
Ilham ()ااہلل: It descends upon the inward from the spiritual world
and can be either Divine or satanic. The type of inspiration
22
INVOCATION
Invocation is translated from Arabic/Quranic term dhikr ()ذؽر
which means to remember Allah through repeated recitation of
His name. In Sarwari Qadri order, invocation is done with breaths
instead of tongue.
ISM-E-ALLAH ZAAT
ّّٰ َ
Ism-e-Allah Zaat ( )اللہis translated literally as „the personal
name of Allah‟. It represents the Essence and all the Divine
attributes and is His most powerful name. Its invocation and
contemplation is given by the perfect spiritual guide of Sarwari
Qadri order after a disciple pledges allegiance. It is the quickest
way of closeness to Allah because of its miraculous powers.
ISM-E-AZAM
Ism-e-Azam (اسم اعظم
ِ ) literally means the greatest name of Allah
amongst His ninety nine beautiful names. It is the name which
contains all His powers and whose recitation solves all the
problems. Mystics confirm that Ism-e-Azam refers to Ism-e-Allah
ّّٰ َ
Zaat اللہbecause no other name of Allah is more powerful than
ّّٰ َ
the Divine name اللہ.
23
ISM-E-MOHAMMAD
JAMIAT
Jamiat ( )تیعمجis a mystic term having multiple meanings. It may
refer to spiritual powers, stability, peace, accumulation or
satisfaction. It is the highest spiritual level whereby all the
preceding levels accumulate in the being of the seeker.
MAJDHUB
The Persian term Majdhub ( )ذجموبis used for the one who
cannot tolerate the effects of theophanies and loses his senses.
Hence due to the lost and absorbed state, he cannot follow sharia
properly neither can progress on the spiritual journey.
The disciples of the perfect and accomplished spiritual guide of
Sarwari Qadri order never become majdhub.
MEDITATION
Meditation stands for the Arabic word muraqaba ()مراقبہ.
Muraqaba comes from raqibun which means the watchful,
careful observer, vigilant, wakeful. Ar-Raqib is one of the
beautiful names of Allah which means the One Who is Ever
Watchful. Literally muraqaba means to watch over, to take care
of or to keep an eye. Mystically it is to prevent the inward from
everything other than Allah by focusing entire attention upon
Ism-e-Allah Zaat.
24
MIRAJ
Arabic word Miraj ( )معراجmeans ascension to Allah. The Holy
Prophet is blessed with the ultimate Miraj where he beheld Allah
directly without any veil and enjoyed absolute union. Through
his mediation, the true seekers of Allah are also blessed with
Miraj according to their respective levels.
MOHAMMADAN ASSEMBLY
One of the most elevated stages of Faqr is presence in the
Mohammadan Assembly which is beyond words. In fact it is the
truth of certainty and is gained by the invocation and
contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat provided it is granted by the
perfect and accomplished spiritual guide. In his writings Sultan
Bahoo condemns those who do not believe in eternal existence
of Prophet Mohammad.
MYSTIC
Mystic, for the Arabic word Arif ()عارف, is the one who beholds,
knows and remains with Allah and has attained presence in the
Mohammadan Assembly.
OATH OF ALLEGIANCE
Oath of allegiance refers to mystic term al-bayah ()بیعت. When a
person takes al-bayah to the spiritual guide, he becomes disciple
and hands over himself to his spiritual guide in exchange of
spiritual guidance. This, in fact, is a pact between Allah and His
slave through the medium of spiritual guide. It eternally bonds
the spiritual guide with the disciple.
25
OBSESSION
In Arabic khurtum ) )ؼرطومwhich literally means the intoxicating
wine of grapes but in Faqr it is a thought or belief against sharia,
mysticism or Faqr which occupies the mind in such a way that
terminates all the moral and spiritual values. Sharia and Faqr
have their respective principles which take the seeker to
destination. If anything against these principles dominates a
person it is called „obsession‟.
ONENESS OF ALLAH
Refers to the basic pillar of Islam Tauheed ()توحید. Believing in
it is the prerequisite to enter Islam. The shahada „There is no God
but Allah‟ is not only the verbal proclamation of Oneness of
Allah but a believer‟s whole life revolves around it. Its
profundity is only perceived by the Mystics, that is why the
Holy Prophet said:
َ ْ َ ْ َ ّّٰ َ َ ّّٰ َ ّ ُ َ
قائِلوْ َن لَٓا ِال ّٰ َہ ِالا الل ُہ ُم َح ّم ٌد ّر ُسوْ ُل الل ِہ ک ِثی ًرا ّو ُمخ ِل ُصوْ َن ق ِل ْیلًا
Meaning: There are many who recite shahada “There is no God
but Allah, Mohammad is the Messenger of Allah” verbally but
only a few say it sincerely.
For the Mystics Oneness means that only Allah exists and none
else. They are annihilated in Oneness to become one with Him
and see Oneness of Allah everywhere.
PERSUASION
Talqeen ))نیقلت: The exoteric scholars guide people through
religious education, discussions and arguments. However in Faqr
the perfect spiritual guide enlightens and enlivens the inward of
the seeker by his spiritual glance in accordance to the Sunna of
the Holy Prophet and this is called „persuasion‟. Perfect spiritual
26
PRESENCE
„Divine presence‟ is translation of mystic term Huzoori ()حضوری.
It is the presence of soul and inward of the seeker before Allah
specifically during prayers and generally all the time. Divine
presence is gained by the invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-
Allah Zaat.
QUDSI HADITH
Words of Allah stated by the Holy Prophet.
REFLECTION
Refers to the mystic term fikr ()رکف. It is the power of thought and
cognition which is one of the means to obtain the gnosis of
Allah.
SATANIC WHISPERER
نن
ّ َ ) is a hidden attacker as
Satanic whisperer (khannas خاس
mentioned in sura an-Nas. It refers to Satan in the form of men
or jinn who whisper evil suggestions in the inward of seeker of
Allah.
27
SHARIA
Sharia ( )شریعۃis the set of Islamic laws derived from the
religious percepts of Islam particularly the Quran and Hadith.
SPIRITUAL ATTENTION
SPIRITUAL FRENZY
The Persian mystic term masti ( )یتسمis translated as the spiritual
frenzy. It is the state of soul when it is deeply immersed in the
intense love of Beloved by the invocation and contemplation of
Ism-e-Allah Zaat or on beholding the Beloved. The lover
remembers none but the Beloved.
28
SPIRITUAL GUIDE
Spiritual guide is English term for the Arabic word Murshid
()مرشد. Murshid is Quranic term and is also one of the attributive
names of Allah. Murshid is not only the spiritual guide of the
seekers of Allah but also their spiritual doctor who treats their
inner diseases and trains them inwardly as well as outwardly as a
spiritual instructor. No one has ever reached Allah without the
guidance of a perfect Murshid.
SPIRITUAL SIGHT/GLANCE
Persian word nazar ( )رظنis translated as the spiritual sight while
the Sufi term nigah ( )اگنہas the spiritual glance. It is specific for
the effective sight and glance of the perfect spiritual guide with
which he cleanses and purifies the soul and inward of his
disciples as well as imparts the inner knowledge and elevates
them spiritually. It is not bounded by time and space. If the spiritual
guide is perfect, his sight can affect his disciples wherever they are.
SPIRITUAL STATE
Refers to mystic term haal ()حال, (plural ahwal), the esoteric
states temporarily experienced by the seeker due to the attention
of spiritual guide or upon contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat.
veil between him and Allah. This state is followed by the state of
spiritual expansion.
STATION OF NO STATION
Refers to the Persian term La-Makan ( )لامکانwhere nothing but
Allah exists.
The Holy Prophet said about these four levels, “My words are
sharia, my actions are mysticism (tariqa), my inward states are
reality (haqiqa) and my secrets are the gnosis (marifa).”
UNVEILING
Arabic kashf ()کشف, manifestation of the hidden upon the seeker.
WAHAM
Waham ( )وھمis a mystic term which refers to the spiritual
communication or conversation with Allah in the esoteric self
whereby the seeker is truly guided by Allah in different matters.

one who stays awake at night for devotions and keeps fasts in the
day. If his struggles do not reveal upon him the secrets of
Divinity day by day, grant him observation of Hoo at the station
of no station, bless him with the company of souls of all the
Prophets, Sufis, Saints, true believers and Muslims neither
ennoble him with ranks of Ghawth and Qutb elevating him to
high spiritual levels then such struggles are just a brigand. It is
confirmed that the seeker‟s struggles are for the sake of earning
respect and honour and he is wandering in the jungle of
depravity. Listen O ascetic! You are toiling to get a place in
paradise but remember that by excessive devotions the innerself
becomes haughtier. The Fakir annihilated in Allah must have
two things; firstly closeness and union of Allah, secondly the
power to conquer the souls by reciting dawat. Neither a Fakir has
any desires nor does he fear from anyone.
ّّٰ َ

Explanation: Ism-e-Allah Zaat has taken me to the Divine presence
and all my problems are resolved by the help of souls of sacred
shrines.
The spiritual guide who is unaccomplished inwardly, is imperfect.
The Holy Prophet said:
َ ُُ ُ ُ َّ َ
=ِ لسکوْة َػ َر ٌام َعلّٰی قلوْ ِب الْا ْول َِیٓا ا
Meaning: Stagnation is forbidden on the inwards of Saints.
Allah says:
ُ ّٰ ۡ َ ّّٰ ۡ ُ ۡ َ َ
(49:13) ِا ّن اؽ َر َمک ۡم ِعن َد الل ِہ اتقک ۡم
Meaning: Surely the most honourable amongst you in the sight
of Allah is he who fears Allah the most. (49:13)
38
Secondly, Fakir who is man of authority is the one who has the
grandeur that when he gives the Divine command „Be‟ to
anything, it immediately becomes i.e. whatever he says is done
by the grace of Allah. The Holy Prophet said:
Hadith:
ۡ ۡ ۡ ۡ ُ ۡ ۡ ُ َ َ َ ْ ُّ َّ ُ َ

Meaning: Life of a human is due to the soul, life of the soul is
due to wisdom and life of wisdom is due to knowledge.
40
ّ ُ َّ َ َ َ ّّٰ َ
الل ُہ ّم َص ِ ّل َعل ّٰی َس ّی ِدنا ُم َح ّم ٍد ِنالن ِب ِّی ال ۡام ِ ِّی
Meaning: Peace and blessings be upon Prophet Mohammad who
was not taught (by anyone but Allah).
Allah says:
َ َ َ َ ّ
)2:30( ِان ِ ۡیۤۡ ا ۡعل ُم َما لَا ت ۡعلمُوۡ َن
Meaning: I know that which you do not know. (2:30)
When the invocation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat continues and sustains
in the seeker‟s existence, first of all the inspirational knowledge
is revealed upon him. Allah says:
ْ َّ َّ ّٰ َ ّ
(18:65) َو َعل ْمن ُہ ِم ْن ل ُدنا ِعل ًما
Meaning: And (We) had taught him inspired knowledge. (18:65)
The inspired knowledge is taught by the benediction of Ism-e-
Allah Zaat which is Ism-e-Azam, the greatest name of Allah.
َ َ اسم َر ّب َک الَّذ ۡی َخ َل َق ﴿﴾ َخ َل َق الۡاِن ۡ َس
)<9:4-2( ان ِم ۡن َعل ٍق
ۡ ۡ
ِ ِ ِ ۡ ِاق َرا ِب
Meaning: (O Beloved!) Read with the name of your Lord, Who
has created (everything). He created man from a hanging mass
(clinging) like a leech (to the mother‟s womb). (96:1-2)
َ ان ﴿﴾ َع ّلَمَ ُہ ال ۡ َب َی
)55:4-4(﴾﴿ان َ اَ ّلرَ ۡح ّٰم ُن ﴿﴾ َع ّلَ َم ال ۡ ُغ ۡر ّٰا َن ﴿﴾ َخ َل َق الۡاِن ۡ َس
Meaning: The most Compassionate (is He). Who (Himself)
taught the Quran (to the Holy Prophet). He is the One Who
created man. He alone taught him the art of expression and
communication. (55:1-4)
True spiritual guide is the one who takes the seeker to the
Mohammadan Assemble through the medium of Ism-e-Allah
Zaat or the esoteric way or by the blessed company of Saints in
shrines without involving him in invocations, reflections, mystic
struggles or endeavours. Thus ennobles him in the court of the
44
Holy Prophet and absolves him of all problems by his grace. The
Holy Prophet said:
َ ْ َ ََ ْ َّ َّ َ
ِا ّن الش ْی ّٰط َن لَا یَ َتمَث ُل ب ِ ْی َم ْن َر?ن ِ ْی فق ْد َر? ال َح ّق
Meaning: Satan cannot take my form, whoever beheld me in fact
beheld the Reality
Whoever doubts the eternal life of the Holy Prophet, turns
infidel. I seek refuge with Allah from this. Spiritual guide is the
one who makes the seeker follow every step of the Holy Prophet
and takes him to his presence. You must not raise objections
upon the one who has reached the Holy Prophet. It is a great
Sunna and the actual straight path. Unless the seeker observes
the Mohammadan Assembly, his faith in it is not established.
Hadith:
َْ
المُرِیْ ُد لَا یُرِیْ ُد
Meaning: True disciple has no desires.
If the seeker desires his soul to reach the station of Divine
Oneness but the guide seeks the world and has impure innerself
then they cannot stay in each other‟s company. The perfect
spiritual guide represents the Holy Prophet while the imperfect
spiritual guide is like Satan. The spiritual guide who does not
represent the Holy Prophet, is not eligible to guide on the Divine
path. You must not waste your life with such a guide as he is like
a brigand rather worse.
Allah says:
َ َ ۡ َ َ
)92:۵ ( کمَث ِل ال ِحمَارِ یَ ۡح ِم ُل ا ۡسف ًارا
Meaning: They are like the donkey loaded with heavy books on
its back. (62:5)
3
A scholar mentioned in sura al-Ar’af, verses 175-176. He was rejected by Allah due to
his arrogance, lust and greed.
46
If one serves the immortal Mystic Fakir for seven days with true
faith in him then it is better than the devotions of seventy years.
It is because one acquires two stations from the Fakir; station of
true devotion for which man is created and the station of Divine
gnosis. My words are based on the Quran while the words of
ignorant and infidels are satanic. Know that the seeker of
knowledge remains imprisoned by his knowledge even if he is an
excellent exegete. Satan was not an ignorant. The scholar who
acts upon his knowledge never turns evil.
The Arabic word for knowledge is transliterated as Ilm which
has three alphabets. Arabic word for clemency is transliterated as
Hlm which also has three alphabets. Similarly the transliterated
word for „act‟ is Aml which has three alphabets as well. These
nine alphabets bless the existence with praiseworthy attributes
and enlighten the seeker with the light of faith. This way of
Mohammadan Faqr never opens for a seeker without the Fakir
having all praiseworthy attributes. Hadith:
َ ْ َ ْ ّّٰ ُ ْ َْ
ِ ال ِعل ُم ِح َجاب الل ِہ الاکبر
Meaning: Knowledge is the thickest veil (that keeps away) from
Allah.
ْ اَل ْ َف ْغ ُر َف ْظ ِر ْی َو ال ْ َف ْغ ُر ِمنِّی
Meaning: Faqr is my pride and Faqr is from me
One who has even a minute love for the world in his inward can
never achieve the Truth neither can he attain Divine union.
Whoever claims that he has been blessed with both the world
and the faith is wrong. The Holy Prophet said:
48
َ َّ ْ َ ُّ ْ َ ُّ ُّ ُ
َ ّ الدن ْ َیا َو
ان ف ِ ْی قل ِب ک ِل َہا کا لمَٓا ِ= َوالنارِ ف ِ ْی ِانٓا ٍ= َوا ِح ٍد
ِ الدیْ ِن لا یَ َس َع
ِ حب
Meaning: The love of world and religion cannot sustain in one
inward just like fire and water cannot be contained in one utensil.
ٰ ِدك

گ
تیب ادقملس اتس نکم اجی بَام
Explanation: Inward is the greatest Kaaba, vacant it from the
idols (of worldly love and wishes). It is the sacred home of
Allah, do not make it an idol shop.
You must know that many people claim to be inward invokers.
They consider their physical heart as their inward and shake it up
and down while holding breath. They claim it invocation of
holding breath but they are wrong. Such invocation is useless
even if the heart starts shaking and along with it every organ
rather each and every cell of the body loudly invokes the name
of Allah. This is not the inward invocation and the shaking is due
to the effect of invocation. Even if it continues forever, it will not
grant spiritual observations and the invoker will remain
unaccomplished. Recognizing the inward is not easy. Inward is a
great kingdom which has observations of Divine secrets. These
secrets cannot be gained unless the inward is occupied with love
and passion for Allah and the seeker beholds Him in it as the
Holy Prophet said:
ْ َو َر?َیْ ُت ف ْی َق ْل ِب ْی َربّی
ِ ِ
Meaning: I viewed my Lord in my inward.
It is the station of:
ّّٰ َ َ ّ
)5;:63( ِان ِ ْیٓ انا الل ُہ
Meaning: Verily I am Allah. (28:30)
If the invocation does not grant gnosis of Divine union, inner
closeness, enlightened physical and spiritual sight, perpetual
51
ً َ َ َََ ۡ َ َ
(3:97) ان ّٰا ِمنا و من دخلہ ک
Meaning: Whoever enters it, is safe. (3:97)
Whoever stops from worshipping Allah, is surely Satan. Fakir
Bahoo says that controlling the inward is the job of imperfects,
involving in miracles and unveiling is the job of unaccomplished
ones while the job of men is to annihilate themselves and
become one with the Essence. Inward is actually the (home of)
Essence and the men of inward never seek anything but the
Essence. The Holy Prophet said:

Heart is also a piece of flesh just like the tongue. When the door
of inward opens, the spiritual eyes are enlightened and the
inward loudly invokes Ism-e-Allah Zaat which is clearly heard
by the invoker himself as well as others. His entire existence
converts into Divine light due to the invocation of Allah‟s name
and he gets rid of all evil traits, love of the world and everything
other than Allah hence his attributes become Divine. One whose
inward is purified by engraving Ism-e-Allah Zaat on it, views the
exact countenance of Ism-e-Allah Zaat by contemplation. Ism-e-

Meaning: Man is My secret and I am his secret.
The men of inward get guidance about their worldly and religious
matters through three sources; waham, inspiration and attention.
You must know that there are two lakh seventy thousand rather
infinite knots around the inward of man which incur loss. Seventy
thousand knots are of greed and sensual desires, seventy thousand
of jealousy and arrogance while seventy thousand knots are of
conceit and pretence. These knots can neither be broken by
knowledge, mystic endeavours, laws of fiqh, recitals and litanies
nor by recitation of Quran, salats, fasts, hajj or zakat. Its only
remedy is invocation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat and powerful sight of
the perfect spiritual guide who is an immortal Mystic. Allah
says:

Meaning: Well! He whose inward Allah has opened for Islam
(by the invocation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat) is (stationed) in the light
from his Lord. (But on the contrary) those whose inwards are
hardened for (being deprived of the bounty of) Allah‟s invocation
are destined to ruin. It is they who are in open error. (39:22)

have taken off the load from you. (94:1-2)
Allah is saying to Prophet Mohammad that He has opened his
inward and purified it of every undesirable thing.
Allah says:

Meaning: So he whom Allah intends to give guidance (by His
bounty) He broadens his breast for Islam, and he for whom He
wills persistence in error (which he has purchased) He tightens
his breast with (such a) fierce constriction as if he were ascending
up hard into the sky. In the same way Allah sends torment (of
disgrace) upon those who do not come to believe. And this (Islam)
is the straight path of your Lord. (6:126-127)

At this station the innerself converts into soul and the light of
Fakir becomes the light of Allah. On the doomsday the Fakirs

One night Prophet Mohammad woke up and went outside the house. Aisha bint Abi
Bakr followed him out of curiosity. She saw that he went to Jannat-ul-Baqi and sat there.
Aisha was about to return when he heard her footstep and asked, “Who is there?” She
replied, “I am Aisha.” He said, “Who is Aisha?” She replied, “Abu Bakr‟s daughter.” He
said, “Who is Abu Bakr?” She replied, “Slave of Mohammad.” He said, “Who is
Mohammad?” Aisha came back silently. This matter was discussed with the Holy Prophet
when he returned upon which he quoted the said Hadith.
71
will rise from their graves seeking the vision of Allah. Allah will
order the angels to fix their tents in the hell. Angels will obey the
order and the Fakirs will grace the tents. When they will cast a
glance towards the hell, its fire will cool down and turn to ash
due to the blaze of their ardent love for only Allah and the
warmth of invocation of Allah. Thence Allah will give them the
authority to take their followers with them. The power and worth
of Fakirs will be known on that day. Then they will be taken to
the balance where sins and virtues will be measured. On one side
of the balance Ism-e-Allah Zaat (whose invocation they had been
doing) will be placed while on the other side sins will be placed.
Even if the sins will be equal to fourteen spheres of earth and
skies, the side containing Ism-e-Allah Zaat will be heavier. If the
sins of their friends, family and neighbours will also be added to
it along with their sins, the side with Ism-e-Allah Zaat will still
be heavier.
That is to say, safety lies only in oneness with Allah. Other than
this every station, honour and rank is full of satanic troubles. The
Holy Prophet said:

Meaning: The world and hereafter are for you, for me there is
only Allah.
CHAPTER 3
DISCUSSION ABOUT MEDITATION,
DREAMS, IMMERSION IN ONENESS,
ISOLATION AND SEPARATION AND
VERIFICATION OF EACH ON THE BASIS OF
THEOPHANIES OF DIVINE ESSENCE AND
ATTRIBUTES
Know that like dreams one has no control upon oneself during
meditation. There are ten kinds of meditation;
1- Meditation of visiting the pre-existence
2- Meditation of visiting the eternity
3- Meditation of visiting the earth
4- Meditation of visiting the skies
5- Meditation of visiting the Mohammadan Assembly and
presence before the Holy Prophet
6- Meditation of having the company of all Prophets
7- Meditation of meeting the leader of all Saints Shaikh
Abdul Qadir Jilani
8- Meditation of meeting all the Muslims and true believers
9- Meditation of examining the existence i.e. inward,
innerself and soul
10- Meditation of immersion in Oneness of Allah
There are three levels of meditation. Meditation of people
surrounded by apprehensions and illusions is entirely different
from the meditation of people of Divine beauty which is
unprecedented. First kind of meditation opens the doors to pre-
existence. This meditation guards the seeker from satanic whispers,
obsessions and other enemies and fulfils all his objectives taking
him to the Beloved. Hadith:
75
ْ ْ ْ ُّ ُ
ِ َ حب الوَط ِن ِم َن الاِیْم
ان
Meaning: Love of homeland is a part of faith.
Real homeland of man is pre-existence. The Holy Prophet said:
َ ُ َ ُ
ک ّ ُل ش ْیٍَۚ=یَ ْر ِجع ِالّٰی ا ْص ِل ٖہ
Meaning: Everything turns towards its origin.
In this Hadith also „origin‟ refers to pre-existence. When a
seeker of Allah intends to reach pre-existence during meditation,
he views himself standing in a row in the arena of souls and
watches the spectacle of pre-existence. He hears the call of;
ُ َ
)::4:5( ال َ ۡس ُت ِبرَ ِّبک ۡم
Meaning: Am I not your Lord? (7:172)
And answers;
ُ َ
قالوۡا بَلّٰی َربّی
Meaning: They (the souls) said, “Yes! You are our Lord.”
Then he shakes hand with the souls of Prophets, Saints, Sufis
and believers hence becomes a true Muslim. Hadith:
ْ ْ ُ ْ َْ
)7<4;ٰ المُ ٔو ِم ُن ِم ْر ّٰاۃ المُ ٔو ِم ْن (اوبداٴود
Meaning: The believer is (other) believer‟s mirror. (Abu Dawud
4918)
One must know that in the pre-existence Allah asked all the
souls, “O souls! What do you want?” All of them answered, “O
Allah! We seek You and Your vision.” Allah presented the
worldly pleasures before them hence nine parts of all souls ran
towards the world. Remaining one part kept standing before
Allah. He again asked them, “O souls! What do you want?”
They replied, “O Allah! We seek only You and Your vision.”
Allah then presented the paradise, its houries, castles and other
76
seeker of world and a depraved one who has not even reached
the status of humans. If a person views every night in his dream
or meditation that he is reciting the Quran, offering salat, calling
azan or finds himself in a garden in company of Saints or in the
assembly of true scholars then it is a clue that he will return from
the world with faith and his end will be peaceful. If a person
beholds Allah in his dream or meditation then it is also true as
Imam Abu Hanifa beheld Allah seventy times during dream and
conversed with Him. His dreams were not during a slumber of
oblivion. However the countenance of Allah cannot be
exemplified with anything that is why the Holy Prophet said:
َ َّ َ َ ّٰ َّ َ َ
تفؾ ُر ْوا فِی الْا ّٰی ِت ٖہ َو لَا تفؾ ُر ْوا ف ِ ْی ذا ِت ٖہ
Meaning: Reflect upon the signs of Allah not the Essence.
That is to say you should reflect that you are blessed with the
vision of Allah which is the greatest blessing and it should be
enough. You must not reflect upon the quiddity and Essence of
Allah as He says:
ۡ ۡ ُ َّ َ ُ َ ٌ ۡ َ ۡ َ َ ۡ َ
)75:4 4 ( الس ِم ۡیع ال َب ِصی ُر لیس ک ِمث ِل ٖہ شی= و ھو
Meaning: There is nothing like Him and He alone is All-
Hearing, All-Seeing. (42:11)
No doubt one who beholds Allah, is liberated from ego.
If a person sees himself riding a horse or crossing a river on a
boat in his dream or meditation, it is a clue that he will soon
achieve his objective. The enlightened Fakir who has reached the
ultimate level views everything candidly and exactly. He is
forever united with the Beloved and both the worlds remain
under his sight hence he has no need of meditation or dreams.
80
ْ َ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ ُ ْ ُّ ُ
=ِ اق ال ْان ِب َیٓا
ِ حب الفغر> ِ= ِمن اخل
Meaning: Loving the Fakirs is an attribute of Prophets.
83
You must revere the Fakirs even when you see their picture on
the wall. Whoever is blessed with the wealth of both the worlds,
finds it by the benediction of Fakirs. Right of Fakir upon the
people is same as the right of a Prophet upon his nation.
ّّٰ ْ ْ َ ْ ْ ّّٰ ْ َ ْ َ ْ ْ َ
طل ُب الخیرِ طل ُب الل ِہ َو ِذؽ ُر الخیرِ ِذؽ ُر الل ِہ
Meaning: The best desire is to seek Allah and the best invocation
is of Allah (Ism-e-Allah Zaat).
ْ ْ ْ َّ ْ ُ ْ َْ ْ ْ ُّ َ
لدن َیا ِب َسلَا ِطی َن َوالکا ف ِ ِریْ َن َوال َعاقِ َبۃ ل ِلمُت ِقی َن َوالمَ َساک ِی َن ا
Meaning: World is for the kings and infidels while hereafter is
for the pious and Masakeen.6
ْ َ ُ ْ ُّ ُ َ
الدن َیا لَا یَکوْ ُن طال ُِب المَوْل ّٰی طا ل ِب
Meaning: The seeker of world can never be a seeker of Allah.
Only the immodest and unwise people seek the world and the
world never spares its seeker without inflicting calamities upon
him.

CHAPTER 4
DISCUSSION ABOUT NEGATION AND
AFFIRMATION, LOUD AND SECRET
INVOCATION
َ َ َ َ ّ ُ ّّٰ َ ۡ َ َ
) 35:5( اس ِم ۡن ّر ۡحمَ ٍۃ فلَا ُم ۡم ِسک ل َ َہا
ِ ما یفت ِح اللہ ل ِلن
Meaning: Whatever of (the treasure of) His mercy Allah opens to
mankind, there is none who can withhold it. (35:2)
The Holy Prophet said:
َ َ َ َ
لَا َمانِع ل ِمَا ا ۡعط ۡی َت َولَا ُم ۡع ِط ۡی ل ِمَا َمن َع ۡت
Meaning: No one can withhold whom You grant and no one can
grant whom You withhold.
Perfect spiritual guide is the one who casts a glance on the
inward of a seeker and by this single glance burns all the filth,
satanic whispers, obsessions, evil suggestions, sensual desires
and apprehensions which occupied his inward. Hence the inward
of the seeker is liberated from the clutches of Satan. Afterwards
the spiritual guide blesses the seeker with Divine persuasion:
87
ّّٰ َ َ ّّٰ َ ّ َ ّْ
)6;33 الذؽ ِر لٓا ِالّٰ َہ ِالا اللہُ ُم َح ّم ٌد ّر ُسوْ ُل الل ِہ (انبامہج
َ َْ
ِ افض ُل
Meaning: The greatest invocation is shahada “There is no God
but Allah, Mohammad is the Messenger of Allah.” (Ibn Maja 3800)
ّّٰ ٌََ ّّٰ َّ َ
There are twenty four alphabets in shahada لٓا ِال ّٰ َہ ِالا الل ُہ ُم َح ّمد ّر ُسوْ ُل الل ِہ, a
day and night also have twenty four hours and during this time a
human breathes twenty four thousand times. If one recites
shahada with complete sincerity, its each alphabet burns the sins
of every hour like fire burns dry sticks. Persuasion depends on
faith and faith depends on persuasion. The loud invocation of
negation and affirmation is done in three strokes. With first
stroke the invoker should recite;
َ ُ ُ
)33:70( ﴾﴿ َو قوۡلوۡا قوۡلًا َس ِدیۡ ًدا
Meaning: O believers! Always fear Allah and say what is correct
and straight. (33:70)
ّّٰ َ ّ َ
Along with it he should recite لٓا ِال ّٰ َہ ِالا الل ُہand strike on the inward
verifying the presence of Allah nearer than the jugular vein not
being separated from Him. By loud invocation the essence of
beholding the Divine beauty with truth of certainty is created.
ّّٰ َ َْ ََ ََ ْ ْ ََ ْ َ
)ادۃ ب ْع َد ال ُح ُصوْ ِل الوَ ُصوْ ِل فق ْد کع َر َو اش َرك ِبالل ِہ (ارلاسۃاوغلہیث
َ َم ْن ا َر َاد ال ِع َب
Meaning: One who intended to worship after attaining union with
Allah, committed infidelity and polytheism. (Ar-Risala tul-Ghausia)
Allah says:
ۡ ۡ َ ۡ ّّٰ َ َ ۡ َ
(15:99) ﴾﴿اع ُب ۡد َر ّبک َحتی یَا ِت َیک ال َی ِقی ُن و
Meaning: And worship your Lord till you attain to the station of
certainty of faith. (15:99)
Invocation is another name for faith, faith upon the name of
Allah. One who stops from invocation of name of Allah, is
faithless. As one does not want to take the name of one‟s enemy.
Thus whoever prevents from invocation of Allah‟s name is either
a hypocrite, infidel or a jealous. One who knows the name of
Truth, does not take the name of world, innerself and Satan. He
should feel bad while taking their names and feel happy on
invoking the name of Allah.
Meaning: Then when the trumpet will be blown, neither will any
relation remain (intact) amongst them that Day, nor will they be
able to ask of one another. (23:101)
The Holy Prophet said:
َُْ َ َْ

Meaning: The ruler of nation is the servant of Fakirs.
َْ ُ
لَا یَ ۡسمَع فِ ۡی ِہ غیرِ ٖه
Meaning: They do not hear anyone but He in Him.
ُ ّّٰ َ َ
َم ۡن ا َح ّب الل َہ لَا یُ ِح ّب ِسوَ >ئِ ٖہ
Meaning: One who loves Allah, do not love anyone else .
َ َْ ُۡ ُ َْ
اؼ ِر ْج ُح ّب ا ل ّدن َیا َع ۡن قل ِبک
Meaning: Erase the love of world from your inward.
ٌ َ ْ ُ َ َ ْ ُّ ُ ْ َ
اج ٌب َو ُح ّب المَوْل ّٰی ف ْرض
ِ ترك الدنیا و
Meaning: Renunciation of the world is compulsory and love of
Allah is obligatory.
Allah says:
ّّٰ َ ۡ
(78:35) ﴾﴿ لَا یَ ۡسمَ ُعوۡ َن فِ ۡی َہا لَغ ًوا ّو لَا کِذ ًبا
Meaning: There these (people) will neither hear any foolish talk
nor belie (one another). (78:35)
ُ َْ َ َ َو الَّذیۡ َن ف ْی ُق ُلوْبہ ُم الْاِیْم
ان َو َج َعلنا فِ ۡی َہانوْ ٌر ِِ ِ ِ
Meaning: Those who have faith in their inward, We have filled
it with light.
Allah says that the inwards He has adorned with faith are replete
with light. It is due to the dominance of the light that invocation
continues in them and is expressed by the tongue. Here the secret
and loud invocation are same which make the seeker unconscious
of himself.
One must know that there are one lakh seventy thousand and
twenty-five names of Allah hence number of invocations of
Allah‟s names is also the same. All these are included in the
contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. Ism-e-Allah Zaat affects the
inward and produces light in it by the spiritually powerful sight
91
Know that the innerself turns infidel while committing sin, acts
like animals during lust, becomes Pharaoh when sated and when
hungry it behaves like a crazy dog. On the contrary the innerself
of Mystics has four qualities; it is vigilant against the sin, observes
patience when hungry, generous when sated and conscious
during copulation. While committing sin even if the innerself is
warned by saying, “O innerself beware! Allah is Omnipresent,
you will be deprived of the intercession of the Holy Prophet,” or
is frightened of agony of death, perdition of grave, cross
questioning of Munkar and Nakir7, burning in the hell fire, scale
measuring virtues and sins, record of deeds, crossing the Sirat
bridge or is reminded of his knowledge and honour of vision of
Allah on the doomsday, it never leaves sin. None of these
sermons and advices can prevent it from sin but only by the
kindness of perfect spiritual guide. That is why it is said that
mediation (of the spiritual guide) is better than excellence gained by
knowledge. Only that spiritual guide can be considered as mediation
who keeps his disciples away from sins through the invocation of
Allah. Hadith:
ٌ َّ َ ّ َ ٌ َ َ َ َ ْ ْ َ َ َ ّٰ َ َ ّّٰ ُ ْ

Meaning: Invocation of Allah is the standard of faith, salvation from
hypocrisy, fort against Satan and safety from hell fire.
Allah says in a Qudsi Hadith:

CHAPTER 5
DISCUSSION ABOUT THE ULTIMATE
DAWAT OF COURAGEOUS MEN
WHICH FULFILS THE OBJECTIVE
IMMEDIATELY
Explanation of the way of meeting with the souls of all Prophets,
Saints, Sufis and believers which makes the inward of men of
Allah replete, is given. It does not require any power rather it is
the job of dominant Saints. The people trapped in desires of
innerself are incapable for it because conversing with the souls
of Ghawth, Qutb, Fakir, Dervish, martyrs and winning soldiers
in their shrines is not easy. Great secrets are revealed during
dawat either through a voice from the hidden or a message from
the souls or waham from the Essence. The Holy Prophet said:
ُْ َْ ُ َ ْ َ ْ ُ ُ ْ ْ ُ ْ َّ َ َ َ
ِاست ِع ْینوْا ِم ْن اھ ِل الق ُبوْر ِاذا تحیرتم فِی الامورِ ف
Meaning: When you are confused (or worried) about your affairs,
just seek help from the dwellers of the shrines.
If a seeker of Allah wants to recite dawat to resolve any of his
worldly or religious issues, for invocation of Allah‟s name or for
having presence in Mohammadan Assembly then he should visit
shrine of a majestic Saint at night, like the shrine of a Ghawth,
Qutb, perfect Dervish or a magnificent Fakir. The grave of such
Saints is like a naked sword. Hadith:
َّ َ َّ َ ُ َْ ُ ّّٰ َ َ ْ َ َ ّ

96
Meaning: Verily! The Saints do not die, they just shift from one
abode to another. (Kitab al-Ruh8, Sharh al-Sudoor9, Ayn al-Ilm wa Zain al-
Hilm10)
First he should call azan near the grave and gain control over the
