JOHANNITER

Johanniter is a white grape variety . The grape was grown in 1968 by Johannes
Zimmermann of the wine-growing institute in Freiburg as fungus-resistant . It is the
result of crossings between Riesling , Seyve-Villard , Ruländer , and Gutedel .
The grape was named after the breeder because he had such a forward-looking
look as head of the Freiburger Institute regarding mold-resistant grape varieties.
Outstanding agreement with her mother's grape de Riesling, are undeniable. Both
the grape, the bunch and the leaf. The harvest time is a little earlier in the year.
Against false mildew and real mildew , the grape is fairly well resistant and
