A. Katy and Kenji are meeting each other for the first time. Read the dialogue, and practice with a
classmate.

Katy:​ ​Hi, I’m Katy. What’s your name?

Kenji:​ H ​ ello. My name’s Kenji. It’s nice to meet you.
Katy:​ N ​ ice to meet you too. Where are you from?
Kenji:​ I​ ’m from Japan.
Katy:​ S​ o, what do you do Kenji?
Kenji: I​ ’m a teacher – I teach engineering at a University in Tokyo. How about you? What do you
do?
Katy: W ​ ell, I’m a Childcare Worker – I look after pre-school age children. I work for a small
Nursery School in Oxford.
Kenji:​ W ​ ow! Do you like it?
Katy:​ Y ​ es, I do. I love working with children – they’re a lot of fun.
Kenji:​ W ​ hat do you like to do in your free time?
Katy: H ​ mm. I guess I like swimming and playing tennis. I also like to cook. How about you? Do
you have any hobbies?
Kenji:​ N ​ ot really, but I enjoy watching baseball and I sometimes go to karaoke.

Brogan.  She  lives  in  Kamakura.  She  is  an  English  teacher.  She  works  in  Shinagawa. 
Linda  has  three  brothers and three sisters. In her free time, she likes to play golf, listen to 
classical music and do crossword puzzles.

E. ​Write a paragraph to introduce a person you know. Check the previous example.

Mariangel is my daughter. She is from Granada. Her full name is Mariangel Garnica Quirife. She has
6 years old and her mother's name is Lina Quirife and his father´s name is Camilo Garnica. her
favorite color is pink, her favorite food is pasta with chicken , she likes skating and dancing .she
loves her pets.

F. ​Read the paragraph you wrote in the previous exercise and record your voice.
