CAGAYAN VALLEY REGIONAL VACCINATION OPERATION CENTER

I. Brief Description
Consistent with Department Memorandum No. 2021-0014, Guidelines on the Management
and Administration of the Initial 600,000 Donated SARS COV-2 Vaccine (Vero Cell)
Inactivated CoronaVac (Sinovac) Doses, the Sinovac vaccine shall be allocated to Priority 1
Eligible Population.
On March 5, 2021 at 2:30 PM, 10,640 vials of Sinovac-manufactured vaccines arrived in the
region and was stored at the Cagayan Valley Center for Health Development to be transported
to different health facilities which includes hospitals (COVID-referral, Levels 1 and 2, district
hospitals and infirmaries) and Temporary Treatment Monitoring Facilities which covers
Community Isolation Units (CIUs) and quarantine facilities (QFs).
II. Coldchain and Logistics
A total of 10,457 vials were delivered by the coldchain and logistics team to priority facilities
(hospitals & TTMFs) in the entire region. (See Annex A) Immunization activities were
immediately conducted upon receipt of the vaccines to meet the target population to be
vaccinated. Please refer to table below.

III. Vaccination Coverage
A total of 61 implementing units and sites have carried out the actual vaccination procedures
wherein a total of 4,218 (39%) individuals from the targeted eligible population have been
vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine.

IV. AEFI Reports
A total of 61 AEFI cases have been reported following the vaccination procedures conducted
by the implementing units. Out of this, 59 were mild cases and 2 were serious cases.
