Kim and Keven were brothers, renting an apartment while they attended college. Both
decided they wanted new televisions for their bedrooms. Kim started shopping around.
He looked at many brands, sizes, and types of televisions. He compared features,
warranties, cost, and the reputation of the manufacturers. He purchased his television
from a local dealer. Keven was in a big hurry. He picked up a catalog that had arrived
in the mail, found a television that looked like it was a good price, then called and
ordered the television and charged it on his credit card.

1. Which is the better approach to buying a television? Why?

Kim’s approach is better because he can canvass as he goes through different tv brands
and also, he can inquire and ask question about the features of a particular tv models
that will cater their needs according to their budget. I can also see that his purchase will
be protected because the establishment protect the right of consumer for warranty and
return of defective items.

2. What are the advantages of Kim's method of shopping?

First, he can know the prices, design and features of every product and subsequently
choose from those products that will cater for their needs and that can produce
satisfaction in their part. Furthermore, his purchases will be protected because it is
mandatory in every mall that if they sell product such as electronic devices and
equipment there should be warranty and return if ever the item id defective. Hence, Kim
could have peace in his mind that if ever there is a technical issue that happened on the
TV, he can address it to the seller and the seller will try to fix the issue of the product or
change it with another one.

3. What possible problems could Keven have?

The first possible problem that I see that Keven would encounter is that he can have
problem regarding the design and features of the TV because he will not know if the TV
can cater to their needs. Hence, it will produce an unsatisfactory purchase. Moreover,
there is a big possibility that his purchase will not be protected, because the seller could
ditch his concern and appeal for warranty and return if ever the product is defective.
With this, instead of achieving happiness through his purchase it creates problem in his
part.
