Like most of you here, I live far from home.

My hometown is 800km from Ho Chi Minh City,

so I rarely go home. There are 2 occasions each year for me to go home, which is summer
vacation and Tet holiday. Whenever summer comes, I will spend 2 weeks going home and of
course 2 week Tet holiday.
To me, I cherish every opportunity to go home, so when I go home I will spend most of my
time with my family. We don’t do anything special. On such occasions, we just cook
together, enjoy the meal, and talk about what’s going on our lives. This makes me feel as if I
have never lived away from home.
Luckily, most of my best friend study and work in this city, so I see them regularly on
weekends. Even though we are busy, we try to arrange time to meet, talk and help each
other overcome difficulties.
Both are fairly important, but my family takes place in my life that is dear to my
heart. Friends may come and go, but I know that my family will always be there for me, no
matter what happens in my life and no matter what decisions I take. Nevertheless, my
friends are the closest people with whom I can share and discuss things that sometimes are
not appropriate to bring up in the family circle.
Both are fairly significant, but my family, dear to my heart, takes priority in my life. Friends
might come and go, but I know my family is always going to be there for me, no matter what
happens in my life, no matter what choices I make. My colleagues, on the other hand, are
the nearest people with whom I can share and discuss topics that aren't necessarily
acceptable to discuss in the family circle.
