Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused

by SARS-CoV-2. Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness
and recover without hospitalization. Most common symptoms of this virus
are fever, dry cough, tiredness, breathing problem and loss smell of taste. It
rapidly destroys the respiratory system which causes death to the person.
The first case was identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. The first
case in Bangladesh was identified on 8th March, 2020. This virus is
primarily spread among people during close contact with affected people.
The affected people produce small droplets by coughing, sneezing and
talking. This droplets carrying Coronavirus spread among others. To
prevent this system, our government started vaccination programme on
24th January, 2021. This ‘Covidshield’ vaccine is invented by Oxford,
AstraZeneca. To prevent infection recommended measures are frequent
hand washing, maintaining physical distance with others, quarantining
people with symptoms, using mask and keeping unwashed hands away from
face. In fact, controlled lifestyle and awareness of mass people are
necessary to get rid of this virus.

সং ািমত ব ি েদর হালকা থেক মাঝাির অসু তার কাশ পােব এবং হাসপাতােল ভিত না কেরই সু হেয় যােব। এই
ভাইরােসর সবািধক কমন ল ণ িল হেলাঃ র, কেনা কািশ, াি , াসক এবং ােদর গ হািরেয় ফলা। এিট ত
াসযে র ব ব া ংস কের যা ব ি র মৃতু র কারণ হয়। ২০১৯ সােলর িডেস ের চীেনর উহান শহের থম ঘটনা/ব ি েক
সনা করা হেয়িছল। ২০২০ সােলর ৮ই মাচ বাংলােদেশ থম ঘটনা সনা করা হেয়িছল। এই ভাইরাসিট াথিমকভােব
আ া ব ি েদর সামনা-সামিন যাগােযােগর সময় লাকজেনর মেধ ছিড়েয় পেড়। আ া রা কািশ, হাঁিচ এবং কথা বলার
মাধ েম ছাট ফাঁটা উৎপাদন কের। কেরানাভাইরাস বহনকারী এই ফাঁটা িল অন েদর মেধ ছিড়েয় পেড়। এই রাগিট
িতেরাধ করেত, আমােদর সরকার ২২ শ জানুয়াির, ২০২১ িটকা কমসূিচ কের। এই ‘ কািভডিশ ’ ভ াকিসনিট
