An improved program was started by the Bureau of Fire Protection – Paoay Fire Station last year which
focuses particularly on the BFP’s response to the ever-growing demand for a more adoptive,
comprehensive and immersive fire protection program for the communities, rural and urban villages and
barangays which was known as the Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP). The aim of this program is to
improve the quality of life of the people of Paoay through a Fire-Safe Community with Proactive,
Responsive, Resilient, Self-Reliant and Empowered people.

Last year, we were able to introduce this program to various barangays within our municipality. A
Community Fire Protection Plan (CFPP) was formulated and Community Fire Auxiliary Group (CFAG) was
organized in those pilot barangays.

However, due to this pandemic, this program was put into halt along with Fire Safety Seminars and Drills
which are regularly conducted in our community. Face-to-face interaction was also stopped as a
measure to prevent the spread the virus. In order to continue our goal in keeping the people of Paoay
safe from the dangers of destructive fire, this Office is utilizing the social media platform to continue its
mandate.

Thus, we would like to request your good office to provide us with __ unit of 10lbs Class ABC Fire
Extinguisher to be used in our online fire safety seminar and demonstration through Facebook Live.
