Facility Guidelines
Soccer Match Protocols
CIF ALL SPORT GUIDELINES

Visiting Team Policies


● Teams may arrive 1.5 hours before the start of the scheduled game - no earlier.
● The Visiting team athlete drop-off/entrance/parking lot Is located at the East side of the field (see map).
● The visiting team is responsible for the screening of its athletes and spectators. Once the screening is
complete, please communicate with the athletic director or administrator in charge to share the data.
● Athletes must come to the game with appropriate attire/uniform. A restroom will be available for
emergency use (One person at a time).
● Visiting team will bring their own water bottles.
● Halftime team meetings are allowed in the east end zone.
Visiting Spectator Policies
● Each athlete is allowed a maximum of two guests for the games at Mary Star High School.
● The Visiting spectator entrance/parking lot Is located at the East side of the field (see map).
● Visitor spectator information will be relayed to the MSHS athletic director. Due to the COVID
pandemic, field capacity will be limited. All visiting spectators are required to go through screening (by
visiting administrator) before entering the gate on the east side of the field.
● Spectators are encouraged to bring a camping style chair, placed six feet apart, as there is limited
bleacher seating.
● Face coverings/masks are required at all times while on campus.
● After completion of the game, all immediate family members will exit the field and return to the East
parking lot to pick up their athlete. NO loitering after the game is allowed.
● There will be NO snack bar available. Spectators may bring bottled water.

Home Spectator Policies


● The Home spectator drop-off/entrance/parking lot Is located at the West side of the field (see
map/student lot).
● Due to the COVID pandemic, field capacity will be limited. All spectators are required to go through
screening before entering the gate on the west side of the field.
● Spectators are encouraged to bring a camping style chair, placed six feet apart, as there is limited
bleacher seating.
● Face coverings/masks are required at all times while on campus.

parking lot to pick up their athlete. NO loitering after the game is allowed.

Officials
● Officials are to park in the parking lot located at the West side of the field (see map/student lot).
● Officials are required to pre-screen before entering the west entrance of the field..
● Officials are to arrive dressed and ready to officiate.
● Officials may use either an electronic whistle or a regular whistle (whistle pouch or covering is
recommended)
● Officials are to bring their own water bottles.
Face coverings/masks are required.

Pre-Game Conference
● Limit attendees to head or center referee, the head coach, and a single captain from each team.
● Move the location of the pre-game conference to the center of the field.
● Participants must maintain social distancing protocols during the conference.
● No handshakes.

Equipment Sanitation
● Games shall utilize a three-ball rotation, ensuring that anytime a ball goes out of play, it shall be
sanitized before returning to the rotation.

Team Benches
● Both home and visitor benches are located on the south sideline.
● Coaches, game personnel, and players are permitted in the bench area.
● Social distance requirements must be observed.

Post Game
● No handshakes.
