Solopreneur Tech Roadmap v2
Solopreneur Tech Roadmap v2
Buying into tech too early - or worse, the wrong tech - can
cost you hundreds or thousands of dollars each month. Your
focus should be on how to grow your business so you can help
more clients, not worrying about what software to buy.
This roadmap shows you what tech you need, and more
importantly, when you need it, so you can focus on one thing at
a time and save on monthly fees before your business is ready.
Planning
When planning your business - whether it’s the tasks you need
to do to get set up, or a checklist of daily activities to get you
started each morning - it’s helpful to get in the habit of using
software, rather than a stack of loose papers and notes.
Setup
You’ll want to make sure you get your website and email sorted.

Everything up until now has all been about getting people onto
your email list. Now it’s time to discuss what to do with those
people on your list. Research shows that prospects need on
average 7-8 interactions with you before they are ready to buy.
You should “nurture” your email list and build a relationship with
them, so you can build “Know, Like and Trust”

You can also receive people’s credit card information and enter it on
a virtual terminal, so you can actually take payment from someone
while in a meeting with them. This removes friction from customers
purchasing, and means you are more likely to secure the sale.

ONBOARDING CLIENTS
I’m not here to tell you how best to deal with clients - you have
your own unique style, and your own unique challenges that you
help clients solve. However, onboarding clients through a
standard process is important in making sure you have all the
context and information you need. (HINT: A Process Street
checklist is great for standardizing your onboarding process!)
