Illustrator Practice Activity

Shape practice:
 Using the pen tool draw the following shapes using a continuous line (and adjusting after
with the direct selection tool) :
- Square
- Triangle
- Star
- Flower
 Fill each shape with a different colour (and different stroke colour and sizes)
 Practice rotating the shapes

Logo tracing and colour fill:

 Create a new document with your name in the file title, A4, Landscape.
 Copy in the image of the Nike and Apple logos (from Moodle) onto the page
 Put these logos into separate positions and lock the layers
 Using the pen tool, trace the outline of these images as best you can. Make sure to zoom
right in the see if there are any areas you can improve.
 Enlarge your logos and Change the stroke to point 3
 Fill in the logos with a colour of your choice

Text:
 Type your name and change the font to suit your personality
- Change the fill colour and the stroke colour to colours you like
- Adjust the stroke size to pt 2 or above
 Type your name again onto a curved path
 Type your name and this time change the tracking of the letters so they are far apart from
each other
