The graph below shows the percentage of people living alone in 5 different age x groups in the USA

between 1850 and 2000 .


First, we notice the age group between 17 and 16 doesn’t exist in 1850 and 1900 but we notice its rise in
1950 by an estimated 1,8% to 5% percent in 2000.
Also, the age group between 27-36 doesn’t exist in 1850. However, it gradually rises from the year 1900
by an estimated 2,3%percent right into 8% percent in 2000.

the age group between 37-46 is stable between year 1850 and 1900 by an estimated 2,3%percent but it
starts to rise from year 1950 by an estimated 3% percent to reach 7% percent by the year 2000.
Moving to the age group between 47 and 57, it begins to rise from year 1850 by an estimated 2,3%
percent reaching an estimated 13% by the year 2000.
Finally, we notice that the age group between 55-66 is the highest by reaching 17% in 2000 after being
about 3% in 1850 .
