A possessive noun shows ownership. Most singular possessive nouns are made by adding an apostrophe plus s to them: ’s.
Part 1. Rewrite each sentence to include
a singular possessive noun. Example: She dropped the toy of the baby. She dropped the baby’s toy.
1. He painted the house of my dog.
2. I wore the cap of my friend. 3. The class of Mr. Gee is in the hall. 4. The singing of Mom woke me up. 5. I washed the windows of the car.
Part 2. Complete each sentence by adding a singular possessive noun .
Add articles as needed.
Example: Mrs. Brooks shook the president’s hand.
1. I went with sister to the zoo. 2. She threw ball over the fence. 3. He searched through rooms for the book. 4. Carlos rode bicycle around the block. 5. The kids rode in car on the way to the park.
