Writing: 15 %
• The students are expected to write a paragraph of about 150 – 180
words explaining the two ADVANTAGES or DISADVANTAGES of the
topic that is given in 40 minutes.
• The students are expected to write a topic sentence, and major and
minor supporting sentences. Concluding sentence is optional. (15 pts.)

Language: ~40 %*

• The students are expected to answer four-option multiple-choice

questions assessing language skills covered in 1st and 2nd spans.
(2 pts. each)

Vocabulary: 10 %

• The students are expected to answer four-option multiple-choice

questions to fill in the blanks in a text. (1 pt. each)

Note: The language and vocabulary sections will be given as one part on
ODTÜClass in 40 minutes.

Reading: ~40 %*
• The students are expected to read two texts and answer three-option
multiple-choice questions related to the texts in 50 minutes.

• Guessing vocabulary (1 pt. each)

• Understanding references (1 pt. each)
• Information questions (3 pts. each)

Test Scope All book units and relevant materials covered in the 1st and 2nd spans.
Scoring The writing rubrics are to be referred to for the WRITING SECTION. The other
sections will be scored automatically by the ODTÜClass system.
