NICTRADE’S STRATEGY GROUP

BEGINNERS GUIDE
PRESENTED BY: NICOLA DUKE
FIRST THINGS FIRST!
Welcome to my strategy group!!!! I really appreciate you wanting to come on
board to our group. Here you will learn how to become an efficient and
profitable trader. It does, however, take work on your part to reach the level of
trader you want to be. The group is full of different people at various stages of
learning and everyone is willing to help. It is truly a unique team of people. This
guide will walk you through the things you should do in order to get a grasp of
my session schedule, how to set up your notifications and alerts, the infamous
house rules and important links.

THE SCHEDULE
Although, I try to make every session immediately on time, it is impossible to
start them all as planned due to totally normal (usually) human error. However,
there is nothing a group member cannot answer, so remember to always ask
questions if you are in immediate danger of any market turmoil 😊

Session (Monday - Friday) TIME (UTC)

Europe Session Crypto 8AM
NY Session FX and Futures 2PM
Late Session Crypto 8PM

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY SESSIONS ARE TENTATIVE AND I TRY TO WARN IN

ADVANCE. I DO USUALLY DO ONE EACH DAY, BUT ONLY AT TIMES THINGS ARE
MOVING.

NOTIFICATIONS, ALERTS AND REFERALL LINK
• When you first enter the group register for notifications, you can find
the button right under the group banner. If you are friends with me
you can select “Friends post” instead of highlights to get only the posts
of all your friends inside the group, including me 😊

• After that, Register for notifications on the pinned post. We call this
“On the Radar” and it is a supplementary service providing charts from
the previous Late Crypto Session

• In addition to the charts “On the Radar”, most crypto videos are
timestamped per asset in the comments within a few hours. Just
enable Realtime comments on a desktop/laptop and you’ll see the
latest comment by “Skaro Daleks.”

• We have two forms of chat, a thread you can find on the groups wall,
and also a messenger chat trading floor you can register by clicking
chat on the left side of the group, both are usually active! (picture just
shows crypto, but there is also an FX, Futures and Stock equivalent. 😊

• After you’ve registered for notifications, subscribe for custom direct

messages from me. Click Subscribe next to where you clicked for your
referral link. I will then send you a DM and respond back in order for
Facebook to know I am not a bot. (very important)

MY HOUSE RULES
• Be Kind and informative. Trading can be a tough endeavor and emotions can
spur during periods of drawdown. Before posting, make sure you are not
attacking anyone verbally. Emotional awareness is about 80% of trading.
• Please refrain from posting any advertisements or airdrops. This will clear the
clutter and help reduce the amount of spam in the group
• Have fun! Soak up the information and enjoy the process 😊
• ASK QUESTIONS! The reason we all work well together is because we ask
questions, whether you think it is embarrassing or not, post ‘em!

NOW THAT THE RULES A RE OUT THE WAY

If you are new to technical analysis, you’ve come to the right place. Learning the
skill of proper trading is a difficult process. I always say, “Trading is the most
difficult but easy job in the world.”
Let’s outline the steps of learning if you are completely new
• I suggest going to https://www.babypips.com/learn and going through the
well-setup educational course. It is primarily focused on FX, however it
mostly translates to all markets
• If you understand the basics, visit our terminology page to get used to the
lingo. Here is the link:

7/
• After you understand the lingo and you feel you have a grip on what’s
happening, head to the Strategy Library. Here you can find my group
strategy lessons. Learn this, it’s the basis of the group. Here’s the link:

6/
• Study the above and attend TLC Strategy Recap classes every Wednesday
at 4pm UTC! You can ask questions! It’s very important that you ask
questions and bother everyone in the group if you are unsure.

sometimes is the other way around.” – Martin Schwartz
• Attend all live streams possible and watch all that you may have missed.
Whether your favorite asset is being covered or not, the repetitive nature
of trading reveals itself with constant repetition.

UNITS

• To further your understanding about the strategy and how we trade, also
have a look at the UNITS section located on the left hand side of the
group. (Top Bar on mobile)

• Here is where you can learn the strategy step by step in very detailed
slides. This is a great supplementary to the strategy lesson videos in our
video library.

CHATS

• On August 21st, 2019 we switched to a SLACK channel for an organized

chat experience with all the group members for both Crypto and
Futures/FX/Stocks. It is also ok to post on the Facebook board also! We all
monitor both !

To join, simply DM facebook.com/nictrades and we’ll verify you’re in the

group and add you!

STRATEGY TRADING RULES

Trading is risky. We are also in a time of life where we are riddled with
information from all directions. Twitter, Facebook, CNBC…everywhere! To be
confident in your ability to extract profits out of markets you must adhere to a
set of rules that suit YOU.
“A lot of people get so enmeshed in the markets that they lose their perspective. 9
Working longer does not necessarily equate with working smarter. In fact,
sometimes is the other way around.” – Martin Schwartz
However, I will outline a few basic rules that will keep you in the game.

• Choose a timeframe, stick to that timeframe. If you trade the 1hr, use the
4hr as a trend guide. If you choose the 4hr, use the Daily as your trend
guide. This will help you eliminate noise on other timeframes. You can
trade with a multi-timeframe approach but that comes with years of
experience and understanding of the markets
• Before you enter a trade, know when and where you will exit. This is
often the hardest part, but if one trade goes against you and you let it run
against you, you will be more focused on the loser than you will other
potential good trades. If it’s not working go to something that is. It’s ok to
lose half your trades if they are little losses.
• Have a predetermined exit strategy on the profit side. My strategy is a
Trend Trading strategy, so you can take profits several ways using things
like moving averages and Heiken Ashi. Refer to the Trend Trading Strategy
to determine how you will exit. EVERY TIME!
• Stay consistent and have a schedule. Trading is a business.
• Ignore FUD. News can make a person make rash decisions. Ensure the
trading conditions at the current period of time are conducive and there
isn’t any uncertainty in your trade ideas.

“A lot of people get so enmeshed in the markets that they lose their perspective. 10
Working longer does not necessarily equate with working smarter. In fact,
sometimes is the other way around.” – Martin Schwartz
• Preserve your mental capital. Here’s a podcast I did with ChatwithTraders
mentioning how much the preservation of mental capital is necessary.

WE’VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR YOU….

As you may have noticed, the group’s platform is Facebook. If you are wondering
what the talk of the town is you usually can simply log onto the group and see
what everyone is talking about. If you are wondering if something is being talked
about you can use the Facebook Group Search function to find it. Here’s a link on
how to use it. It’s super simple and you can find exactly what you need.
