Is the A Level the same as the one you’d study in High School?
Yes - even though you’re studying online, you’ll sit the same exam at the same time as other A
Level students in the UK, and the qualification you’ll receive is exactly the same.
They’re awarded by AQA, the UK’s largest provider of academic qualifications. AQA have been
around for over a century (almost as long as us!), and they set and mark the papers for around
half of the GCSEs and A Levels sat each year.
We’re the UK’s

IGCSE and
A Level courses.
A good grade in A Level Maths is also a common entry requirement for universities, particularly in STEM subjects,
economics and medicine.
This 100% online course will develop your knowledge into advanced areas of pure maths including algebra,
trigonometry, geometry and calculus. In your study of Mechanics, you’ll delve into the maths used in physics to study
mathematical modelling, kinematics, forces and Newton’s laws, while in Statistics, you’ll learn to use technology to
process and interpret data.
You’ll be fully supported in getting the A Level you need without having to sacrifice your job, family time or social
commitments - your study can be completely shaped around your life.

You’ll complete progress checks throughout your course, so you and your tutor know exactly how you’re
doing. They’ll make sure you’re well-prepared for your final in-person exams.
Our course advisors will be more than happy to tell you more about
arranging your exams.
The course advisors that I spoke to were really helpful and explained everything that I would need to know, taking
their time and making me feel really valued.
I was wary that distance learning wouldn’t be for me as I’d never had to learn anything outside of a classroom set
up. However, the materials are really easy to follow and the forums really help. My tutor has been really great too,
responding quickly to every query I’ve sent, with a full in-depth explanation of everything I’ve needed to know.
I’m thinking about taking up another A Level with ICS Learn once I’ve completed this one!

I found learning online more relaxing than going to a college. There was no travel, no students who can
annoy you in the classroom, and you can study when you want. This relaxed environment made me study
harder and learn a lot more.
I could also send questions via email and they would be answered with a thorough explanation with a

You’ll need a calculator for all your exam papers and for use throughout your studies. The minimum requirement is an advanced
scientific calculator, such as the Casio fx-991EX ClassWiz calculator.
If you’d like to buy a more powerful graphics calculator, the one we recommend is the Casio fx-CG50. However, this model
represents a significant investment and, while it’s allowed in the exams, it’s not necessary for completion of the course and you
won’t be disadvantaged without it.
You’ll also require a computer with a suitable spreadsheet package (such as Excel) to allow you to work with the large data set
provided by AQA to support your study of Statistics.
