MEASURES
Background Information for Learners

This lesson deals on how to determine areas of concern for safety measures.
It includes identification of work task, place and time for safety measures and
the appropriate tools, materials and outfits to be prepared.

Before starting the day to day tasks, always bear in mind and be guided by
this important reminder, “Use the right tool to complete the job safely, quickly
and efficiently.”

During laboratory period you are expected to spend your time for two hours in
the fishpond or at the fishing area. Before performing the work tasks, the
appropriate tools/ materials and outfit must be prepared beforehand and the
hazards associated to work task are also determined. In this way, you are
able to prepare yourselves for the proper outfit, tools and materials
appropriate to the work task.

With this lesson, we will be able to determine the appropriate safety

measures to employ when working at the workplace.
