7.0 ELECTRONIC MAINTAENCE

This section is dedicated in detail to the electronic connection between the card and the mechanical
components, assembled in the projector .These informations will be absolutely necessary when the mechanical
unit has to be removed from the projector for maintence and/or repair.
The connections are made using handy connectors and are detailed where you can find indications about the
connection beteween a specific connector and specific component of the mechanical unit. This includes the motors
and the sensors of the various effects wheels(color, gobosprisms,,shutter etc.)
WARNING! An improper use of this documentation made by not specifically qualified staff
can damage irremediably theelectronic and/or mechanical components of the projector

8.0 ORDINARY MANTENANCE

Ordinary maintenance on theprojectors MP 700 Zoom is necessary to maintain theperfect effi -

cienc y of the unit and to avoid defects like t he low luminos ity of the light beam or the ele vate d
ove rheating of theequipment.

In the figure s you can s ee

those components that can eas ily
acc umulate dus t and grea s e .
Clean them us ing a s oft cloth and
common glass -cleaners.

9.0 EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE

WARNING: switch off the projector before operating

To make an extrao rdinary maintenance , it is

necessary the pre sence of a gene ric orqualified
mec hanica l ope rator, acco rding to thetype of the
nee de d intervention. In orde r to make its use
ea s ier, we advis e you to complete ly draw outthe
mec hanic unit of the zoom and focus movement s
as follows : dis connect the two motors (connecto rs
B and C) and the fan(connecto r D);remo vet he 4
s crew s ( part. A) and
ca refullye xtract thewhole
mec hanic unit . Clean ca-
refullyt heindicate d parts.

Once the frame with the Zoom/ Foc us mec hanic unit has
been remo ve d, it is poss ibletoclean theparts which are usu ally
difficult to reach. Rea ssemble the Zoom/ Foc us unit carefully,
being sure in pa rticular that the blade with pris m and frost is
pos itioned b etween
t hetwo len s e s oft he Zoom/ Foc us unit.
Remem be r then to connect again the 2 motors and the fan to
their connecto rs.

13
You mus tparticularly takecareofthe s en s ors which are rea lly fundamenta l in the unit working.
The s en s ors areabsolutely necessary when agene ralre s et of thep rojecto r is nee de d. Ifthis function is not cor-
rect ly executed, it will totally comp romis et he re gular working of thep rojecto r, at lea s t for the group referre d to the
s en s or its elf.

The s en s ors of the encode rs concerning the PAN and TILT movement s are locatetd in he bas eand inthearmof
the MP700 Zoom re s pective ly. The picture s clearly show how you can reach the s e component s and whe re you can
correct ly operate for their maintenance .

Anothe r place whe re grea s eanddust s ettleis ins idet he lamp-box. Carryoutthefollowing ope rations in orde r to
clean: uns crew ,but not complete ly, the 4s crew s on the s ideofthe fin unitlocated on top of the bulb; draw outthefull
