B. 2.1
1.We use”the most expensive” because the superlative of adjectives of two or more syllables is formed
with most.
We cannot use” the expansivest”. First of all, expansive is a completely different word , that means
willing to talk. “ Expensive” means costly. Anyway, we add –est to form the superlative of one-syllable
adjectives.

2.We use” more” and not “the most “because the comparative form is required. The author uses the
comparative form+ than to compare a type of washing machine with the others.

3. Yes. We can replace “far “by “much”.

“Far” is used for emphasis in comparisons. It is used for emphasizing a difference when making a
comparison.

4. “ Few” means not many, almost none. It is followed by countable nouns ( very few cases ).
“Little “ means not much, almost none. It is followed by uncountable nouns.
Both “few “ and “little” have negative meaning and can be used with “very “for emphasis.

5.We cannot use”more cheaper “because the word “cheaper “ is already compared ,as we form the
comparative of one-syllable adjectives by adding –er to the adjective. “More” is used for adjectives of
two or more syllables.
6. We cannot use” more long” because we we form the comparative of one-syllable adjectives by
adding –er to the adjective and not by adding “more”.

6. We use” more frequently than” and not “the most frequently than “because the comparative form
is required. “Than” is used when making comparisons, after a comparative adjective or adverb, when
we are saying that a particular number or amount is above or below a certain level. We cannot use the
superlative adjective followed by “than”.

most people.
In New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager named Clary Fray (Lily Collins) learns that she is
descended from a line of Shadow hunters -- half-angel warriors who protect humanity from evil forces.
After her mother (Lena Headey) disappears, Clary joins forces with a group of Shadow hunters and
enters Down World, an alternate realm filled with demons, vampires and a host of other creatures. Clary
and her companions must find and protect an ancient cup that holds the key to her mother's future.
“City of Bones “is a book that takes you to a totally different world. The book is filled with
