Skygarden, Seoul

As Seoul gets busier, designers and architects are exploring the untapped spaces in
the sky. Architects at Rotterdam company MVRDV, for example, are transforming
an abandoned highway in the middle of the city into the Skygarden, an arboretum
of trees, shrubs and flowers. Over on Garden 5, visitors can enjoy a picnic on an
all-natural lawn the size of three football pitches, out of sight of the shoppers in the
multiplex below. Replacing impermeable surfaces with green spaces such as these
helps cities cope with excess water.

I think this is a great Idea because it can be implemented in any building, road and
any empty spaces or surfaces and not only will bring an aesthetic view to the place
but it will be a space where people can have fun, breathe a purified air and help
enhance the general atmosphere in the area where this idea will establish in.
