thorize certain programs relating to nonpoint source
management, and for other purposes.

1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

4 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Local Water Protection

5 Act’’.
6 SEC. 2. NONPOINT SOURCE MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS.

7 Section 319(j) of the Federal Water Pollution Control

8 Act (33 U.S.C. 1329(j)) is amended by striking ‘‘sub-
