Dear Ms Catherine Wong,
My name is IMRAN AMIN and am final year student of bachelor degree majoring in geology at University
Malaysia Sabah. I almost finish my bachelor degree and will do my internship from 10 February until 30
May 2020 at GEOMAG Sdn Bhd. Here in GEOMAG Sdn Bhd, i will involve with project that dealing
with geophysics survey, geoengineering survey, terrain mapping, geomorphology mapping and geology
mapping. My dissertation is about “The General Geology and The Mapping of Earthquake Hazard
Potential Around Tawau”. The general geology is focuses about structural geology, geomorphology,
stratigraphy and petrography of study area. Mapping study is using GIS method and focuses on observation
of potential zones or areas that have high potential of damages by earthquake in study area. Besides that,
the mapping of earthquake hazard potential is not only useful for the community as a step in preparing
towards the earthquake hazard but it is also reducing and mitigating for the earthquake risk.

Through the learning process, knowledge and experience that I got from the university has builed me to
become fast learner. I am fast learner and very passionate to study about new things. I believed with
GEOLOG Sdn Bhd, I am able to growth and see challenges as a oppurtunity to learn new knowledge and
experience everyday. I am someone who has a good work skills both individual and group but I prefer to
colaborate with a group or team. Besides that I have good communication and interpersonal skills. With
GEOLOG Sdn Bhd, I believed that I have the opportunity to colaborate with a solid team who are from
different background of expertise, talents, nationality and sexual orientation to overcome a challenges. I
am someone who is quick to adapt with the work environment, well maintain to work with a high pressure
work environment and have a strong leadership and spirit. I believed with GEOLOG Sdn Bhd, it will train
me to work efficiently and transform me to become someone who can adapt with any kind of tough work
challenges and not giving up easily. Last one, with GEOLOG I believed that I will work with a company
that support economic growth for local community and taking energy forward, cleaner and safer.

I am keen to make a contribution for GEOLOG Sdn Bhd and apply my skills, while building on my geology
experience and undertaking additional training and development. My experiences have allowed me to
develop a unique combination of communication skills along with machinery and technical experience,
and I believe I could make a valuable contribution to GEOLOG Sdn Bhd as a mudlogger. I hope to receive
