General Objectives
At the end of 48 hours at Madonna & Child Hospital, I will be able to: I will be able to
demonstrate effective knowledge, skills and attitude of nursing practices. First, I will be able to
put into action the 11 Key Areas of Responsibility to maintain and provide quality nursing care
to my clients. Second, I will be able to utilize variety of skills virtually in preparation for
physical duty. Third, is to enhance my critical thinking skills in analyzing the pathophysiology of
the disease and making a nursing care plan for the patients. Fourth, is to embrace patient focused
and holistic care by applying 5Cs in providing care. Lastly, to develop into an effective student
nurse in the medical surgical ward capable of taking responsibility in respecting client privacy
and adhering to staff and hospital policies.

Specific Objectives
At the end of 8 hours at Madonna & Child Hospital, I will be able to:

a. Familiar the different areas departments of the hospital


b. Be oriented of the hospital protocols
c. Build a trust foundation with the healthcare staff and personnel
d. Cooperate with one another which strengthens bond
e. Fully assess the patient’s condition
f. Promote trust and respect with the patient
