Ms. Lauryn Lyons began her student teaching program in my kindergarten classroom in September 2020, and
continued through the spring. The entire experience has been extremely positive and I can recommend her
without reservation.

When I met Ms. Lyons, I was immediately impressed by her maturity, her natural ease in speaking with
children, and her dedication to teaching. She is consistently calm, nurturing, and positive in all her interactions.
She does not hesitate to step in to deal with behavior issues in a positive manner, and her day to day interactions
with students are consistently warm and positive as she addresses their individual needs. The children were
instantly comfortable with her and she quickly developed a trusting rapport with them. Her love of children is
clear.

Ms. Lyons is organized and prepared. Her creative lessons are motivating, engaging, and well thought-out. I am
impressed with her ability to self-reflect and make both immediate adjustments in her teaching and adjustments
for long-term improvement. I found Ms. Lyons to be punctual, dependable, and eager to learn and apply new
techniques. She smoothly steps in when asked to take over various lessons at a moments’ notice. Ms. Lyons has
been active in grade level planning. She shares her lessons and is a valuable team player.

I hold high regard for Ms. Lyons, not only as a colleague, but also as a friend and would be pleased to work
with her again. Ms. Lyons would be an asset to any school. Please do not hesitate to call me for further
