a local area network problem, network solution or billing solutions, you can be sure to get a

How do you define broadband?

Simply put, the term 'broadband' refers to Internet access that is faster than 56K
dialup. The term 'broadband' is in contrast to the term used for 56K, which is
known as 'narrowband'.

• Broadband Internet Service

Falmur communicationsTM provides individuals and corporations quality internet service using
various connectivity methods as required by customer’s needs:
- High speed, broadband wireless
- High speed, C-band VSAT using the award winning Netmodem combo router.

High speed, C-band VSAT using the award winning Netmodem combo router.

Satellite
Satellite is a growing type of broadband access, although still primarily limited to those
areas and those users who cannot get any other form of broadband. Satellite
broadband began by using the satellite to broadcast the download, and to have a
dialup connection provide the upload link [example of such is the MWEB Nigeria
internet service, though not cost effective and an obsolete solution via satellite]. With
improved technology, satellite broadband now offers upload via satellite dishes.
Because it is a newer form of broadband and still to some degree in its infancy,
satellite broadband typically is more expensive to install and on a monthly basis than
most other forms of broadband. In addition, the bandwidth limitations currently provide
not much more throughput than regular 56K dialup, although this seems to vary
greatly from provider to provider.

High speed, broadband wireless

Wireless
The term 'wireless' has many meanings, but wireless in relation to broadband Internet
access refers specifically to connectivity provided by a wireless signal between a
transmitting tower and a transmitter/receiver installed at a home or office. (The
confusion usually comes from the term 'wireless network, which refers to a wireless
router in the home that connects wirelessly to all of the computers within the home. It
is possible to have wireless broadband in conjunction with a wireless network in the
home.)

How to choose the best broadband access for me?

The first step in choosing the best broadband access for you is checking availability.
Unlike dialup ISPs, in which you might have hundreds or thousands of options to
choose from, you only have a few options no matter where you live. If you are in a
heavily populated area, you may have the luxury of choosing from several broadband
providers. If you live in smaller or a remote area, you may be lucky to have more than
one option. Regardless, make sure to be diligent in finding out all of the options that
are available in your area, then list them out and compare such things as bandwidth,
installation costs, costs per month, contractual term, etc. We recommend searching
online or locally within your locality for the national providers and looking in the yellow
pages for potential local providers. Most of the time it should be fairly easy to decide
which option will be the best for you based on the criteria you choose.
