INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

Paisley (V.O.)
Me and Marley were inseparable.

Paisley (V.O.)
There wasn’t one activity that we did without the other. We were
joined at the hip.

That is until she started seeing her boyfriend.

INT. MARLEY’S BEDROOM - DAY

Paisley trying to show Marley something on her phone. Marley is

distracted by texts and smiling at her phone.

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

Paisley sitting on the couch doing homework as Marley walks out of the
door.

Paisley (V.O.)
I started seeing her less and less. She stopped coming home as often
and when she did she was always in a hurry and avoided me at all cost.

Marley rushes in the door with an arm full of books trying to hide her
face.
 Paisley (V.O.)
I noticed a change in the way she dressed. Her once vibrant and cute
clothes became big and dirty hoodies with a pair of sunglasses.

INT. LIVING ROOM/KITCHEN - DAY

Marley comes in the door looking around to see if Paisley is home and
sees her in the kitchen and rushes to put on her sunglasses.

Paisley (V.O.)
I was worried about her. Enough was enough.

Paisley calls Marley’s name and approaches her and grabs her hands and
looks into her face and sees Marley’s bruised eye. Paisley brings her
hand to her mouth in shock.

Marley breaks down in tears in Paisley's arms. Paisley embraces Marley

as she falls to the floor crying. Both are on the floor crying.

Paisley (V.O.)
She told me that her boyfriend had been hitting her for about a
month. It hurt me to see my friend so helpless and hurting.

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

Paisley and Marley sit on the sofa together talking and taking shots
over the course of the night.

Paisley (V.O.)
After one long night of tears and a lot of shots, Marley decided that
it would be best for her to break up with him

Marley scrolls on her phone as multiple calls and text come in from
her now ex-boyfriend. Marley blocks his number.

Paisley leaves the apartment for class as Marley plays with their cat.
 Paisley (V.O.)
After a while Marley started feeling better and getting back to her
old self. She had broken up with her boyfriend over text which caused
a flood of threatening calls and texts. She ended up blocking him,
which allowed her to find her peace again.

INT. LIVING ROOM - EVENING

Marley opens the door, surprised to see her ex-boyfriend. Her facial
expression then turns into fear.

Paisley (V.O.)
Until he forced his way back into her life.

Shadow of Marley being beat up by her ex-boyfriend. She falls to the

floor lifeless and he continues to beat her.

Paisley (V.O.)
I told her I would always be there for her. Friends until the end.

Paisley walks into the apartment and looks around for Marley and
doesn't see her. Paisley walks to Marley’s room and knocks and her
door cracks open.

Paisley (V.O.)
I just didn’t know the end would come so soon.

INT. MARLEY’S BEDROOM - EVENING

Paisley walks in to see Marley’s unconscious body. Paisley’s face is

shocked.
