Project Description:

Golden State Bancorp was the holding company of California


Federal Bank (Cal Fed). Cal Fed, with $50 billion of assets and 355 branches in California
and Nevada, was the third-largest thrift in the United States. Its primary operating
subsidiaries were First Nationwide Mortgage Corporation, Cal Fed Investments and Auto
One Acceptance Corporation.

Cal Fed resulted from the combination of three strong California-


based thrifts. When First Nationwide Bank acquired California Federal Bank in January
1997, the resulting institution kept First Nationwide’s San Francisco headquarters,
California Federal Bank’s name, and both companies’ long traditions of outstanding
service to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Involved in Design, Development, Customization and Maintenance of PeopleSoft


HR, Base Benefits and Payroll.
• Involved in providing New Passwords to end users using Security in Browser
Environment.
• Involved in modifying and creating new and delivered online objects like Pages,
Components, PeopleCode (to enforce business rules) in HR, Base Benefits and
Payroll modules.
• Applied PeopleCode for data validations and calculating the page field values.
• Involved in creating Application Engine programs and File Layout definitions such
as writing data to a file, reading from flat file by adding new Sections, Steps and
Actions.
• Created Run Control Pages, Components, attached them to required Menus,
Application Designer and made them available to various operators through
Maintain Security to have the reports run under Process Scheduler.
• Assign the New Records to Query Reporting Tool using Tree Manager.
• Used SQR to write Interfaces for the Internal Systems.
• Developed SQR based processes and reports and scheduled processes to run at a
specific time and run recursively at a specific interval using Process Scheduler and
used Process Monitor to view status of the process.

• Modified, Designed, Configured and Built fields, records, sub-records, set keys
for records, assign table edits like prompt table, etc. to the records.
• Involved in tuning of PeopleSoft delivered SQR’s.
• Used Object Security for controlling user access.

Pages, Components and Menus.
