Understanding the written word is one way the mind grows in its ability.

 In addition,
reading can be a fun and imaginative time for everyone, which opens doors to all kinds of new
worlds for us. Likewise, evidence suggests that students who read for enjoyment every day not only
perform better in reading tests than those who do not, but also develop a broader vocabulary, increased
general knowledge and a better understanding of other cultures.
We have different kinds of reading. Critical reading is a more active way of reading. It is
a deeper and more complex engagement with a text. Critical reading is a process of analyzing,
interpreting and, sometimes, evaluating. When we read critically, we use our critical thinking
skills to question both the text and our own reading of it. The purpose of critical reading is to get
a basic grasp of the text and to form judgments about how a text works. We also have simple
reading, learning to read consists of developing skills in two critical areas. Reading each word in
texts accurately and fluently and comprehending the meaning of texts being read. To read
words accurately and fluently, we need strategies to read words we have never seen before in
print as well as words they have previously encountered. The purpose of simple reading is for us
to understand the meaning of texts, we must have sufficient language comprehension skills.
When we try to think critically, our mind will enhance its skills in imagining a particular subject.
With that, we can able to explain things with more knowledge. Critical reading involves
presenting a reasoned argument that evaluates and analyses what you have read.  Being
critical, therefore in an academic sense means advancing your understanding, not dismissing
and therefore closing off learning.
This means that you should be able to fully analyse the text and state a meaning for the text as
a whole. Critical thinking involves being rational and aware of your own feelings on the subject
and being able to reorganize your thoughts, prior knowledge and understanding to
accommodate new ideas or viewpoints. In formal learning situations, we are required to read
and critically think about a lot of information from different sources. It is important therefore,
that you not only learn to read critically but also efficiently.

When you find a relevant or interesting section you will need to slow your reading speed
dramatically, allowing you to gain a more in-depth understanding of the arguments raised.  Even
when you slow your reading down it may well be necessary to read passages several times to
gain a full understanding.
Reading keeps us learning

the process of questioning, seeking answers and asking further questions that keeps the
reading going. For our students to become critical readers, we need to help them engage with
texts through a range of different kinds of questioning. Students need to see demonstrations of
how questioning is used to construct meaning from texts. These demonstrations need to be
explicit, visible and clear, and it is important that they occur in the context of meaningful reading.
If we share the results of our investigation into our reading habits with our classmates, we may
also notice that some of their reading habits and strategies were different from ours. Depending
on your current reading philosophy and experiences with reading, becoming a critical reader
may require a significant change in your whole understanding of the reading process.

Critical readers are able to interact with the texts they read through carefully listening,
writing, conversation, and questioning. They do not sit back and wait for the meaning of a text to
come to them, but work hard in order to create such meaning. Critical readers are not made
overnight. Becoming a critical reader will take a lot of practice and patience.
Winning is just a title

Sport refers to a competitive physical activity. It generally recognized as activities based

in physical athleticism or physical dexterity. Sports are usually governed by rules to ensure fair
competition and consistent adjudication of the winner. Joining different sports is fun but
choosing the best that suits our skills is better.
My favorite sport was Lawn Tennis. Playing under the sun is hard and tiring. Your skin
gets darker and darker and heavy sweating occurs. Sometimes I encounter difficulties in
breathing. Tennis is a great exercise. Playing regularly will burn calories, build muscles, improve
reflexes and benefit cardiovascular health. Regular exercise greatly reduces your risk of heart
disease. Playing outdoors you'll enjoy plenty of fresh air and sunshine. These are the
advantages we can get when we play outdoor games like tennis. Lawn tennis was standard
form of tennis, played with a soft ball on an open court. Playing with other teams helps you
enhance your moves if you will make your moves faster or your strength in smashing the ball to
be harder or not. But playing sometimes is not all about giving all your strength, the rules will
save you.
When I was still in Junior high school, I used to play lawn tennis. Our court before was
located at CSU Gonzaga, but now they build a better and a wider court near our municipal hall. I
already experienced winning many times before going to higher meets specially when I was still
in grade 10. I am one of the representatives of our town for the CPAA meet happened January
last year luckily, we are in the 6th place. I really enjoy playing this sport. But now I don’t play this
game anymore because our school don’t play this game. Most important scene we can see
during competitions is the sportsmanship in every team. But for me the worst experience is
when my opponent and the scorer came from the same town, they used to cheat just to put
some of the scores that it should be mine, in that case I lose.

Just enjoy playing lawn tennis and don’t even try to overthink about winning. But start
thinking about the benefits of this game to our body.  Unlike some sports, playing tennis is a
brilliant workout for the entire body. You use your lower body for all that running, stopping and
starting, jumping and crouching. And the action of hitting the tennis ball, whether it’s single or
double-handed, means that your trunk does a lot of work as well, in particular your shoulders
and upper back.
