The article talks about gene therapy and how it became successful and
unsuccessful in some cases. Gene therapy was used to baby named as Nina.Nina was
not a usual baby compared to her siblings consequently they had discovered that she
has severe combined immunodeficiency also called as bubble boy , with this, her
body does not have immune system. She undergone to gene therapy, and luckily she
was the first to be treated though gene therapy . Several cases where also treated with
this kind of therapy.

Gene therapy was not yet fully practiced in the medical industry, there are only
few who tried this kind of therapy and because of that ethical concerns raise such as
how safe the therapy is, how does this therapy affect the gene of a patient.

The stakeholder in this situation are those patient who have gene problems , gene
defect, leukaemia, severe combined immunodeficiency, cancer, rare inherited
eye disease,degenerative disease adrenoleukodystrophy,beta-thalassaemia,clotting
disorder haemophilia B,metachromatic leukodystrophy, and other such disease.The
one who are affected with decision about gene therapy are the patient and its family
because there are still a percentage that this therapy might not be successful, and also
other stake holder such as medical personnel and other related might be affected with
this decision since this could be another break through when it comes to medical field.

The values influences the decision of each group of stakeholders are,first is

respect, some of them respect the body of patient, second is love, gene therapy is a
risk it might cause a big hurt for patient if it became unsuccessful

If someone undergone to gene therapy the consequences might positive or

negative.Positive consequences,are it could treat diseases such as treat severe
