Abstrak
BPOM has informed there were 157 cases of poisoning due to junk food
consumption. The result of preliminary study in SD N 3 Temanggung II, 2 student
brought food from home and 18 students food, which means they bought junk food
to be consumed at school. In addition there were 3 students knows about the
meaning of healthy food, 5 students could mention farious kind of junk food, 2
students knows about the impact of consumption of junk food, and all students did
not know about the characteristic of junk food and how to chose healthy food.
This study aims to determine the effect of health education with video to
increase knowledge about healthy food for student.
This study is quasy experiment with Pretest-Posttest-With Control Group
Design. Sampling technique that used slovin with 66 respondents. In this study, a
comparative categorical hypothesis test was conducted for 2 groups of paired data
using wilxocon test.
Result of the study showed that video was more effective in increasing
knowledge about healthy food with a P value is 0.007 and Z-score value is -2.715
while leaflet media had a P value of 0.497 and -679 of Z-score.
From the result of this study, futher research is expected to use other media that are
more creative and easy for student to understand about healthy food. As well as
being able to add research variable related to the health of the student especialy
regarding to students attitude and behavior of junk food in school as well as paying
attention to other factors that can influence to get knowledge.
