PHYSICAL PSYCHOLOGICAL

2. Read the poem “ The Monkey’s Point of View”. Then answer the questions after it.

THE MONKEY’S POINT OF VIEW

Three monkey’s in a coconut tree

Discussing things as they’re said to be
Said one to the others, “Now listen you two,
There’s a certain rumor that can’t be true,
That man descended from our noble race.
The very idea, it’s a dire disgrace!
No monkey’s ever deserted his wife,
Starved her baby, and ruined her life.
And you’ve never known of a mother monk
To leave her baby with others to bunk.
Or pass them on from another one to another
Till they hardly know who is their mother
Another thing you’ll never see
A monk build a fence around a coconut tree
And let the coconut go to waste
Forbidding all other monks to taste
Starvation would force you to steal from me
Besides, what monk would smoke a pipe and burn the tree,
Pollute his air and kill himself?
Here’s another thing a monk won’t do
Go out at night and get in a stew
Or use a gun, a club or knife
To take some to other monkey’s life
Yes, man descended the ordinary cuss
But brother he didn’t descend from us.
