Users can connect this video terminals for auto-iris function. If this terminal is not connected, Auto
Mode does not work.
CAUTION
Carefully handle the unit : Do not drop or give a strong shocks or vibrations to the ML-L.
This may cause damage. Treat the camera/monitor cables carefully to prevent cable
problems such as a cable break down and unstable connection.
Do not touch internal parts : Tempering with the internal parts may operation failure or
injury.
Ambient temperature and humidity for operation : Do not use ML-L in places where
temperature and humidity exceed the specification.
The life cycle of Xenon lamp is far longer than filament type lamp. ML-L is using 300W Xenon short
arc lamp. It gives more than 500 hours of life cycle.
Lamp hour meter displays the accumulated hours how the lamp has been used. User should
replace the lamp when the figures of Lamp hour meter approaches to the life cycle. After the life
cycle, the brightness may be decreased or the ignition of the lamp may fail.
All of the replacement process should be done by either MGB service person or highly experienced
person in electricity.

WARNING
For the replacement of lamp of ML-L, it is strongly recommended that the user contact MGB
service division.
NOTE
After the replacement of lamp of ML-L, lamp using time should be reset to 000 by MGB
service division.

2. Check if the gas bottle is tightly closed. The regulator to control the
gas pressure inside the system can leak small amount of gas. If
the gas chamber is not tightly closed after each use, gas will be lost
quickly.
3. If the gas cable comes out of the wall, set the system to 'Wall Utility

4. Check if the tube is twisted or if the vales of the trocar sleeve or
veress needle are closed.
5. If the high pressure alarm continues when the insufflator is turned
on without any supply of the gas, the First Regulator Assay ML-G
needs to be replaced. (section 2.4)
Gas is leaking. 1. Check the connection point between the gas tank and the gas
cable, and the gas cable and the equipment with soap water.
2. If you hear leaking sounds from inside the equipment, it is the gas
from the regulator trying to control the pressure.
If the sound is very much louder than normal and no gas comes out,
the tube inside the equipment came off.

irrigation software and connect the long torcar tube inside the
bottle the opposite way. (section 1.1)
Suction Problems
Problem Resolution
Suction does not work. 1. ML-G does not include the suction function.
It requires the separate device for suction.
2. Check if the suction system is turned on.
3. Check if the tube connected to the suction system is clogged
or pressed somehow.

Here are mainly two types of gas supply: CO2 bottle gas supply and utility gas supply are those.
Main reason for making two modes is the difference of the two gas input pressure. For the utility
gas supply, it is regulated to 10bars in most European hospital, which is useless in bottle gas
supply. For compatibility among two gas supply type, ML-G has its internal gas checking disable
mode – only do this with well connected and well regulated utility gas supply. The special key not
to check the gas pressure is to press the three keys at a time. (Refer to below keys.)
Rev. 2. 0 53
ML-L Trouble Shooting Guide
NOTE
-It should be done only once when first install the gas insufflator.
-Factory setup is gas bottle mode that is to check gas bottle as long as the power is ON.
-If gas bottle is under the operational pressure but there is requirement to use ML-G
regardless of gas bottle pressure, for example in the exhibition or demonstration or there is
extra gas tank during operation. You can change the mode to ‘do not check’. However, once
the requirement has expired, do adjust the mode to ‘re- check gas bottle mode’.

injected.
2. Check if the gas bottle is tightly closed.
The regulator to control the gas pressure inside the system
can leak small amount of gas. If the gas chamber is not
tightly closed after each use, gas will be lost quickly.
3. Check if the tube is twisted or if the vales of the trocar sleeve or
veress needle are closed.
4. The lure lock of the system may be turned and the silicon tube
twisted. Fasten the lure lock so it will not be skidded.
Gas is leaking. 1. Check the connection point between the gas tank and the gas cable,
and the gas cable and the equipment with soap water.
2. If you hear leaking sounds from inside the equipment, it is the gas
from the regulator trying to control the pressure.
If the sound is very much louder than normal and no gas comes out,
the tube inside the equipment came off.
Open the top case and reconnect the tube.

Suction Problems
Problem Resolution
Suction does not work. 1. FENCER does not include the suction function.
It requires the separate device for suction.

WARNING
Be careful so that there is no dirt or finger print on the surface of lamp and reflector. It may
make smoke or be reflector broken because of heating of dirt.
NOTE
Be sure that the lamp module is inserted in right position. With the right position, the axis of
light is aligned, so FENCER gives maximum brightness.
WARNING
Before replacement of the lamp, be careful of high temperature of lamp and its connected
parts. It may burn your finger. Wait until the lamp is cool enough or wear the glove.
Ver. 2. 0 4 133
NOTE
The lamp of the Fencer has on an average life cycle of 500 hours. After approx. 500 hours of
service you’ll get only at least 80% illumination at maximum power. We recommend you
perform a lamp change after 500 hours. However we strongly recommend your replacing the
lamp after using over 500 hours. Unless, there is possibility of harmful damage of the lamp.
Always check the lamp hour that Fencer supplies when it turned on.

2. Check if the gas bottle is tightly closed.
The regulator to control the gas pressure inside the system

twisted. Fasten the lure lock so it will not be skidded.
6. If the gas gauge shows low gas and the 'Check Gas' audible alarm
keeps being generated even if there is sufficient gas, it is most likely
that the First Regulator Assay is defective.
Please refer to (section 2.4).

Gas is leaking. 1. Check the connection point between the gas tank and the gas cable,

pressure the goes up. 2. Check if the abdomen is pressed during operation.
3. Check if the tube is pressed.
4. Check if the Trocar sleeve value and/or Veress needle valve is
closed.
5. Check if the tube inside the gas insufflator is twisted.
if it is, straighten it and make sure that the lure lock doesn’t
skid.
6. If the high pressure alarm continues when the insufflator is turned
on without any supply of the gas, the main board needs to be
replaced. (section 2.6)
Irrigation Problems
Problem Resolution
Irrigation does not 1. Check if the S/I Cannular valve is set to irrigation.
work properly.
2. If the foam is generated in the saline solution bottle, stop the
irrigation software and connect the long torcar tube inside the bottle
the opposite way. (section 1.1)
Suction Problems
Problem Resolution
Suction does not work. 1. GI-3000A does not include the suction function.
It requires the separate device for suction.
2. Check if the suction system is turned on.
3. Check if the tube connected to the suction system is clogged
or pressed somehow.

1.2 Special Hidden key
Here are mainly two types of gas supply: CO2 bottle gas supply and utility gas supply are those.
Main reason for making two modes is the difference of the two gas input pressure. For the utility
gas supply, it is regulated to 10 bars in most European hospital, which is useless in bottle gas
supply. For compatibility among two gas supply type, GI-3000 A has its internal gas checking
disable mode – only do this with well connected and well regulated utility gas supply. The special
key not to check the gas pressure is to press the four keys at a time. (Refer to below keys.)
We are supplying Gas insufflator after setting PS Zero value. But when you install GI-3000A
the first time and after service, you have to set PS Zero value. Because according to country,
atmospheric pressure is different.
