The subject matter of this art would

•Background of Art
Her art mostly focuses on women
dealing with inner struggle. I try to
offset or distract from this through
the use of a bright color palette
and lighting. This artwork is one of
her art commissions that she posts
on the social media.
“I’ve always believed that looking at art is

ability to draw out repressed feelings and stir

Arellano (b. 1949) is a Filipina surrealist
sculptor. Three Buddha Mothers

trinity is derived from mother–goddess
paradigms in religion and literature.
Vesta is the young, pregnant mother in a
posture derived from Hariti, an

Jood approaches graffiti and street art in the
Philippines from an academic perspective,
lamenting the dearth of writing available on
the subject. He is a street artist based in
Quezon City, Manila, as well as an educator at
the University of Santo Tomas. Jood works
primarily with spray paint and stencils,
earning a living through commissioned
artworks. His street art explores the urban
experience through cosmopolitan characters,
often featuring hooded or mysterious figures

art is not for the fame. It’s a tough game. You
