Introduction The content of this proposal is established for Dame

ISO 14001 officially published new standard 2015. ISO

14001:2015 will be the latest (3rd) edition of the Environmental
Management System (EMS) standard and deemed to be the
most significant change since 1st edition. The process approach
has been replaced with the high level structure (HLS) based on
Annex SL, Appendix 2 of the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 1,
Consolidated ISO Supplement-Procedures Specific to ISO.
The introduction of risk based approach, product life cycle

thinking and striving to enhance environmental performance
beyond compliance obligations. This has resulted in more
explicit requirements in risk-based thinking, more user-friendly
requirements, more flexibility in documentation and a
performance based system meeting the needs of interested
parties. With the changes introduced into standard,
organizations should realize more beneficial outcome of using
ISO 14001 in line with current business strategies.

Khairil Anwar Razali is qualified management consultants with 15 years experience in

the field of quality management system particularly in manufacturing and services
industries.
He holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from University Technology of

Malaysia, further study in Master in Technology Management is same university once
he enter Management position is previous job appointment. He started his career in
Jan 1996 in manufacturing of one of the renowned Japanese MNC as a Quality
Engineer and rose into Quality Assurance Manager within a short period. He has been
vigorously involved in the process, operations and quality system through ISO, SPC,
MSA, QCC, FMEA, etc.
Since 2005, he pursued his career in training and consultancy that mainly stems from
his practical experience. He provides consultancy in the field of quality management
system, environmental management system, safety management system, etc. He is a
dynamic and versatile trainer.
