After Namongan gave birth to Lam-Ang. He instantly could speak and he
wants his name to be Lam-Ang. That is a supernatural power that he
showed.

7. Why did Lam-Ang went out for a journey?

To find kill all the igorots who killed his father

8. Why did Lam-ang killed many Igorots?

Because of his rage and he wanted to have revenge with the igorots
because they killed Lam-Ang’s father.

he must surpass first the richness of Ines Kannoyan’s parents. Which Lam-
Ang did because he brought a ship that is full of gold.

For every newly married couple, it is a tradition and obligation that the
husband must catch rarang in the sea.

Direction: Make a 3-paragraph reflection essay about the moral lesson and symbolism
of the Legend of Magat River.

LEGEND OF MAGAT RIVER

The moral lessons I’ve learned in the legend of Magat river are first , Don’t Lie and hide
secrets to someone you love because he or she can accept you no matter what you are and
who you are if he/she truly loves you. In the story, For the Maiden part she Kept her secret to
his husband instead of telling the truth maybe she don’t have trust and afraid that his
husband will not accept what she is.
Second is Don’t break promises . Once you promise to someone you should commit with it.
Never make a promise to a person when you have no intentions of keeping it. Because it can
destroy relationships Like what happened in the story.
The story of Magat river symbolize to a relationship of a husband and wife which damaged
because someone breaks a promise. The story is about promise and loyalty which is one of
the qualities that a person must have in order tohave a healthy and strong relation to
another person.
