Dear Eco-warrior self,

For the past few years, you have remained silent for all the things and changes you
could have done for her. Through the years, you have feared the blaring feeling of
losing hope for humanity within you. Although the deafening silence could have
impaired your ears, it never did in your heart. You have forsaken your muted
perspective, but this also allowed you to be still, be observant and feel the voice of
reality. And so, the stillness resonated with her hushing whisper. Injustice. Not just
climate and environmental, but racial, economic, and social injustice as well.
Having heard that, from now on, you must never fear anymore. For you are a warrior.
An eco-warrior. A warrior with resounding courage, resilience, and valor. From now on,
you must take her fading whispers and make it a reverberating shout. A humane cry
that will echo across lands and light-up action and that is humanity. Because after all
these years, and for years beyond, humanity is what we need.

In a world that seems to be blanketed by the darkness that is the climate crisis, the little sparks from our
individual actions provide the light that it needs. These sparks, little they may be, rids the world of
complete darkness. And when we coalesce and combine our sparks, we can create a fire, which will be
bigger as we come together. As this fire grows bigger and its light becomes stronger, we can make the
world a brighter place.

empowerment and understanding. Today for the Earth Hour, join me in one with
the world! Turn off every light that we see in our homes. Let us forget technology
first. We should spend our time thinking about what's happening with the earth
right now. Through these small actions we can transform our world! Because
together, we can make a difference!
