Adrian and Andrei are brothers. They look very much alike. They
are of the same age. They were born on the same date.
Adrian and Andrei go to the same school. They are of the same
grade. They go to school together. They live in the same house. It is
because they are twins.
Adrian is kind and helpful. He comes to school neat and clean. He
is always cheerful. He smiles at everybody he meets in school. He is
friendly.
Andrei is naughty. He likes to play jokes on his classmates.
Sometimes, he plays in dirty places and he often fights with his classmates.
He has very few friends.

Let’s go back to the story. The words that describe Adrian and Andrei can
be grouped together. The diagram below with two circles is called a Venn
diagram. The part common to the two circles contain the similar
characteristics. The parts that are not common to the circles contain the
characteristics in which Adrian and Andrei are different. Think of

Read the story below. Rewrite the story, replacing each underlined
word with the matching antonym. Make sure to check your work for any
errors.
On a sunny day in May, a parent went to the park. She put a blanket on the
dry grass. The ground felt hard. A man was selling cheap lemonade nearby. She
decided to buy some and hoped the man would accept her money. There were few
people at the park and it was very quiet. After walking around awhile she went
back to her blanket. It was time for her to leave the empty park.
